Couple of ebay sellers to avoid! Scammer!

He didn't even sign the customs form... spent $39.85 on postage too. Guess that's a decent tradeoff - $800 for $39.85 and a crappy RC...

As I understand it, you raised the concern that when you received your package, you discovered that the Seller has sent you a $2 Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card instead of the Michael Jordan/Lebron James card. I am sorry to hear that you feel like you have been scammed by your Seller as you saved up a lot of money to purchase this card. I see that the Seller has purchased shipping insurance on this card, but it is only good for domestic shipments and you live in Auckland, New Zealand. I really appreciate you sending in those photos so quickly - Ebay scammed pictures by hairyangryfella - Photobucket. They were very helpful in deciding your particular case. I imagine you are quite anxious to receive your refund as we are dealing with a very expensive basketball card, but I wanted to reassure you that we offer eBay Buyer Protection for these types of scenarios. Please allow me to explain what our options are, and what actions we are taking to get this claim resolved.

I have decided the best solution is to have you return the Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card back to the seller for a full refund. This is because you have provided photos showing exactly what you received, and how it differs from your Seller’s original description. I realize that the Seller has purchased shipping insurance, but you are going to have the card returned anyway, and the insurance is only good for domestic shipments. In order to hold the seller accountable for a full refund, we must ensure that the card you received has been returned back to them first. Please complete these steps in the next 7 days to ensure that you qualify to receive a full refund:

1).Ship the card back to the seller using tracking and signature confirmation (required). This is so we can confirm that the seller has received the Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card back. You can use the shipping company of your choice.

2).The seller’s return address is:

3).Go to the Resolution Center and enter the tracking number from the package.

After you enter the tracking information, you will see another page where you will confirm that the tracking information is correct. Be sure to click the “submit” button or we will not receive your information. You must enter the tracking information in order to receive a refund.

Once we have confirmation that the package has been delivered back to the seller we will refund you for $815.00 which includes the original shipping cost, within 3 days. This refund will be returned to your original funding source.

I understand it may cost you additional money to return this package to your seller. I am sorry to say that we cannot cover the full cost of the return shipping. As a courtesy, to help mitigate your returning shipping cost, we will be issuing you a courtesy coupon for $10.00 that can be applied to your next eBay purchase. You will be receiving the coupon code including additional details on how to use the coupon in your eBay messages within the next 7 days.

In summary, please go ahead and return the Demarre Carroll Crown Royale card to the seller using signature confirmation (required) within the next 7 days. Once we are able to verify that it has been successfully delivered back to the seller we will process a refund $815.00 back to your original funding source within 3 days. Please keep in mind if you do not provide us with tracking within 7 days, we will assume you have decided to keep your purchase. Your case will be closed out and you will not receive a refund.


So that's just wonderful. Even though it's obvious he didn't just send me the wrong card by mistake, I have to send back using registered postage (which will cost me $41) to get my money back. HE should have to pay to have it returned, if that's what's required, don't you think??
