COMC stuffed my oder up big time what do i do????

Hope you will have a good issue Kris .

Please i have pm you about the cards i'm waiting from you could you answer . Thanks

This is why I will never use a 3rd party to ship me my own cards...

It's just another point/process where things can go wrong, it's the same reason why the Global Shipping Program through ebay can sometimes be a nightmare....(They have lost 2 cards of mine and counting) 1 was/is irreplaceable and nothing hurts more than that!

COMC, makes sense for low-mid end cards that aren't going to destroy you if things go wrong...
But I could never put my trust in a 3rd party with the kind of cards I buy from time to time, in regards to value and more so rarity...
Some cards can not be replaced, even if you get your money back, more often than not the monetary value is far less than the real value some of these cards mean to a collector...

If the company/system is going to work it must have steps in place to avoid errors like this...

I hope things work out for you and you get cards above all else...

xavierty, we've determined what happened, and we know where your cards are. We've contacted that person and we're just waiting to hear back from them.

I want to apologize to you, and to everyone else here - I was told something by our shipping department and it turned out to inaccurate, and I feel like I've been misleading people with the message I've been sending out. Since April 1st, the transition to the new card catalog has affected everyone in ways that were unexpected (by me, anyways) and we're still trying to deal with the changes that have come about. I'm sure that once this transition is complete, things at COMC will be great, but the process to get us to that point leaves a lot to be desired...

I get your frustration over the things happening at COMC right now, and if there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to let me know...

COMC have made shipping errors when the site is 100% up and running a number of times documented on this site, including no toploaders when they have been paid for and registerd/insurance issues, which in my case insuring $800+ SV of cards for $5 after I paid an extra $30 for insurance ($30 paid for $5 cover???) why anyone would risk cards being sent when the site is a state of mass confusion is puzzling to me, I feel your pain mate and in no way I am implying this is your fault, however I feel unless having the cards in your hands asap is the hobby version of life and death it would be best to be patient and wait until order is restored, No matter what COMC are telling you, as obviously internal communication is also a massive issue for them at the moment

Sorry to hijack the thread, but since your floating around on this thread moe. maybe you can explain why and how long the site seems to be S#$%#$ed at the moment...
Cant log in, (wont accept password) tried changing it and wont accept a new one...
Also cant even seem to search for any cards on the site atm...

The log in issues are temporary issues; if you wait a few minutes and try again, you should get in with no problems.

As for your other question, we've been talking about this transition for months - the whole thing with Beckett ending their licensing agreement with us, us building our own catalog from scratch, creating all the card data and such - we've got the majority of card data back, but it's still going to take the better part of the summer (well, our summer, your winter) before we're at 100% for card data completion.

And, I'm doing my best to be around as much as possible - you can always send me a message or email me at "staff@comc.com"

i have about 100 odd cards sitting in my inventory and I've been putting off having them shipped until they have their database sorted, because this is exactly the sort of thing i fear will happen.

What I don't understand is, if these are sitting in your comc mailbox, and you request them to be shipped, how the hell can they stuff that up?

I've got stuff on the way, hope the right cards turn up.

Hey bud, sorry to hear about the screw up, hopefully your cards end up being found & returned quickly for you.

Moe, is there any way you might be able to double check the orders getting shipped to us members down here in Australia for the time being while the database is getting redone? If there are any issues you would be able to rectify before sending out, double checking should hopefully cut down on errors like this. Also it could become costly in both time & money if packages have to be returned from here & resent to us, just a thought.

I can definitely pass that along to the shipping team, to do some kind of "secondary" quality check to ensure the right cards are going out. Thanks.

its just like when we have a problem with ebay we can message the ebay representative on this site..... oh wait.....

COMC should be credited for having someone here and tackling all the issues that come up, they could just as easily only deal with it through a phone number or email listed on the site. we all know there are some issues at the moment but you have to give them props for being visible and not hiding from them.

Well said Matt, I also think that this whole thread could have been avoided if @xavierty had sent a pm to @Moe@COMC to start with. Moe has always made it clear to contact him with any questions and he has made it openly clear in this thread that he is trying to help and has even taken on board suggestions.

@xavierty have you also thought that the person whose cards you have may be stressing as much as you. They may have been cards they have been after for years to complete set chases and instead receives a bunch of basketball, they may not even like basketball.

sorry i didnt no who to contact when shit hits the fan , i thoght this was the best place to get advice , and also i have already packed up the cards i received ( in better protection for a safe return) as im well aware that some one out there would be missing them . also i did send a email to comc and took a while to get back to me thats why i posted a thread to see what i should do...... maybe less judgement would be nice.

Not judging you Kris, just asking a valid question.

I just do not like how some people appeared to be using this a thread to question how COMC operate and I am sure that you did not as well

Hiding from these issues will do nothing to help their brand.

Like most projects, the rebuilding of the DB is off schedule. I don't have an issue with that. It is a huge task.

What I have an issue is with quality control and assurance during this period. If they are relying upon the model they used prior to the rebuilding, that's an issue. The 'secondary' check by shipping should have been implemented by day 0 of the project. Not when customers who have or are spending thousands of $ receive other people's orders.

At the end of this, I would expect comc to review all quality control and assurance procedures, introduce a more detailed and comprehensive quality management system, and get ISO accreditation.

Ok, so we can criticize paypal and ebay as well as the card companies when necessary even though we all use them or buy their product and that's ok, but we cant criticize COMC because a representative is available here? ok, cool... gotcha!

COMC make good money off us and we should be able to point out things we are unhappy with on a trading card site.... COMC is a business you know, and if we are unhappy with certain aspects of their operation we should voice our opinions, because we are PAYING CUSTOMERS....

How dare we question how they operate? seriously? I use COMC because I find benefit in their product, as I do paypal and ebay, but I am not a blind COMC nutswinger because there are/and have been aspects of their operation which I have been unhappy with and I (and others) will voice that, I don't owe COMC anything, as I don't owe Ebay, paypal, Panini, Topps, etc. anything. It's COMC's job to protect their brand through their quality of product and the way they operate, not mine.

by the way, I do give COMC credit for having a rep avail, and Moe seems like a good guy with the best intentions, but that doesn't mean COMC get an automatic pass when they leave themselves open to discussion and/or criticism

@xavierty don't need to justify yourself to anyone mate, I reckon an overwhelming majority are happy you made this public, may make other reconsider getting valuable cards sent while the site is a mess.... This site is here to protect COLLECTORS.... Keeping this private may have risked another members cards... So yeah, don't justify yourself to ANYONE questioning why you made a thread about this.... Question why they think this would be better kept private!
