cheap nba jerseys from China

The all stars I've had since '06, the rockets since '08 and the lakers for 3 years. Have had the CP3 for 3 years and the Pels for about a month lol. The CP3 is the fake and so far is in pretty good nick considering it's been worn, and trained in, and played some pickup games in. Just because it's from China doesn't always mean the quality is poor, if you know where to look ;)

Well I guess that's the thing when buying fake, the quality may be shithouse or it may be ok.. I've seen guys wearing jerseys which you could tell are fake and the numbers are hanging by a thread LOL

Are these same people also ok with having a fake MJ auto in their collection because they cant afford the real thing?

Comparing apples with oranges there aren't you? You don't go around in public wearing a hand signed jersey. I wouldn't want a fake hand signed jersey by a player. Besides, whilst I'm sure everyone would like an MJ auto card, not nearly as many can afford it, and as a result do not own one.

Adidas manufactures their jerseys in Korea anyway, the only premium your paying for most of the time is the resellers cost of overheads. If it's quality looks good, and won't fall apart I don't see the harm in it if you can't afford the real thing. It's no different to downloading music, it's frowned upon but everyone does it at least once ;)

... No this is comparing apples and oranges. When you download from itunes its the real deal. When you download from torrent sites its stealing.
The more comparable thing would be to buy a bootleg CDs with xeroxed sleeves.

And again Nope. Adidas has factories all over the world. I have jerseys (all authentic) made from Vietnam, Nicaragua, Thailand etc...
So location has nothing to do with it. Its the inferior materials used, unsupervised QC etc

I work in sports retail, so theres nothing worse in my eyes.

Only within the last couple of years weve been able to get access to NBA swingmans again (due to the demand of consumers i might add)
So when I see stalls selling fakes pop up in the mall... im the first guy on the phone to Adidas (or whichever company theyre knocking off)

Coz you see if people like you continually condone that its ok to buy this fake garbage (online, wherever they sell this shit)
Youre directly affecting the jobs of a lot of Australians. So if "you dont see the harm" in this, then you need open your eyes

Its actually ironic especially since you're in a hobby that predicates itself on authenticity
Whether its the authentic signatures, game worn patches etc. Yet so many of yous are ok with it?

"People like me"? Did you not see my earlier post and photo with multiple legit jerseys. All I'm saying is, I don't believe someone in financial hardship should miss the opportunity to wear the attire of the team the support. Whilst the real deal is always better, at times a choice has got to be made, and I'm sure if a choice could be made it would be in most cases.

You work in retail, cool. I'm in sports marketing so I see it a little different I guess. Buying direct supports the teams, I get that - and also the effects that the "cheap knockoffs" have, however all this is taken into consideration when finding a price point to take to market.

I respect your opinion, and in no way made this topic personal... so PLEASE DO NOT generalize and assume that I'm the reason for the loss of Australian jobs. You know nothing about me so please do not pretend that you do . Not cool at all.

So by purchasing the "real deal" from the nba store overseas I am actually protecting Aussie jobs as oppossed to buying almost identical fakes from Asia? Even if I wanted to buy from footlocker or rebel, they never have the ones I want so I'd have to go online, authentic or not

Nope i dont know you nor did i pretend to. Pls point out where I blamed you for the economic problems of Australia?

YOU quoted/responded to my post with incorrect information and contradiction.

This is a fair point, it's so rare to find anything in australia that's authentic that isn't all the regulars, kobe lebron etc. if the argument truly is about helping Australians and the industry in australia, then I'd say the industry is the one doing the most harm to itself by not providing a wider range of products.

10/10 times I'd rather buy authentic, but I won't be forced into wearing a lakers jersey just to do so

Oh wait yes because by saying people buying fakes directly affects the jobs of my staff, that I blamed YOU for Australias economic problems?

I have no issues with people buying authentic products online (especially since what Adidas offers us are limited)
The problem is majority of the fakes i see posers in, are the ones we have in stock anyway.
