I had 13 items come into the country via DHL over the weekend and they got heldup 48 hours.

I asked them what the holdup was and they said that a ton of items have come into the country in the lead up mothers day and Customs was struggling to process them all.

Cant really blame Mr and Mrs Trading Cards on this one Trev.

Not blaming anyone, except maybe the guy doing the sending if he's over quoting on the shipping....or has some irregularity in the paperwork...

As for the delays, seems like it must only be those carriers as I had a case size box of mixed products come in from D & A last friday that I only ordered on the prior Tuesday, same as always, order Tuesday night recieve Friday morning...and that made landfall at Botany also..

Yep it would be just under 200 UPS from D&A but we got them way cheaper than we can get from them even with a premium membership and discount. We try and get the lowest price possible so we can sell it cheaperbut after this I'm not wanting to use USPS again :/

I can understand that ! Anyway, I'm sure it'll get here eventually...we hope !

For all future shares I am going to try something different. I have been in touch with tangent and she has put me onto her distributor in the states. As you would all remember with Jen's shares they were consistently at a very good price and delivery was VERY quick. With Jen gone for a while he has no Australian customers so I will see if we can rectify that. It will mean that I will have to assume the financial risk, as Jen did, but hopefully we can see some more consistency with delivery.

Will keep you all advised.

I think we have all experienced different shipping methods, some good, some not so good
From personal experience, UPS has been the most efficient todate & shipping prices from D&A are very reasonable
USPS shipping is inconsistent, transit time can vary from 5-25 days from US to Sydney
Dont forget folks, anything arriving into the country which has a declared value of A$1000.00 or greater is processed by customs in a different manner, generally items less than A$1000.00 value are processed & released quicker through customs

Im happy to wait. I have had a few packages get stuck in customs. Really seems like it is just sitting there for no good reason. One time after a week of ringing asking whats happening, someone finally tells me they are waiting on a fax or email of the purchase invoice. lol what, why did it take that long to find that out?

Anywho yeah it sucks, but it happens. I appreciate you guys keeping us in the loop at least.

When we go through D&A they use UPS and we get it within four days, we only had one customs hold up with them which was about a week. Our new contact had us quoted at $400 more on shipping for UPS then USPS which I can't understand because when we went through D&A their UPS price was cheaper than what we have been paying USPS. For GOT 2 I requested ups because of all the problems we've been having with shippingng he sent me back this :

From what I understand, D&A actually have an agreement with UPS, which gives them a big discount on shipping with them (which is why you see them promoting UPS before USPS). I don't think the supplier is trying to rip you off on shipping, as when I have also inquired about getting things shipped with UPS (as they are wayyyyy better than USPS), I have also been quoted crazy amounts when I'm buying somewhere other than dacardworld.
