Borderlinx.com love it

Yeah bulk up and it will cost you 3-4 bucks in a a4 padded envelope.

You really need 6+ packages to get the real cheap.postage.

so $3-4 dollars all together?
so,say, i got 4 packages totaling 10 cards would only cost $3-4 for them to send to Australia?
sorry, but their postage calculator and what your saying is totally confusing me as they are so far apart in prices!!

It may not seem like a lot, but i even saved a few bucks sending my order from dacards to there and then to here! Not a lot interests me at the moment on ebay etc, so as soom as it reaches borderlinx im getting it shipped over

Itll probably work out to be a lot cheaper, because with the calculator you need a weight and size measurement

so 20 parcels with each having anywhere from 1-100 cards is no issue, there's no problem with total weight?
you'll just get charged more for weight
There may be a weight issue, not sure, but the more weight the more $
Its based on volume im pretty sure.
Yeah I'm having problems with weight bought a few Nascar model cars and theyre charging me nearly $20 postage for each one.
Cards are good, or anything light but nothing that weighs more than 1kg.
Can go to their cost calculator and basically shows you that 1kg is $10 10 kgs $100 25kgs $220

Lots of these sites are based on 'volumetric weight' which is explained below. Basically taking up space on an aircraft can be more expensive than the actual weight of an item, so it basically comes down to whether it's bulky and / or heavy. If it's small in volume and weight then it should be fairly economical...

We use volumetric weight when determining the weight of the shipments we send and we understand that this is not always an easy concept to grasp. We want to break down the details for you in order to make it as clear as possible.
The cost of transporting a shipment can be affected by the amount of space that it occupies on an aircraft, rather than the actual weight. This is the volumetric (or dimensional) weight.
The volumetric weight of a shipment is a calculation that reflects the density of a package. A less dense item generally occupies more volume of space, in comparison to its actual weight.
The volumetric or dimensional weight is calculated and compared with the actual weight of the shipment to ascertain which is greater; the higher weight is used to calculate the shipment cost.

....time for me to sign up! Good to buy overseas without bothering other people! Thanks for all the info guys, good that we're looking out for each other!

Yeah i have never actually used the calculator on the site and i thought it was volume based.

The only time i got stung is when i bought a few boxes from baseball card exchange and they put them in a massive box more than double the size it should have been.

Also they will calculate any import duty and allow you to split up shipments to avoid it if needed. I used to use bongo and they did not do that - cost me an extra 20% to get it past customs.

I was aware of Bongo and some others but Borderlinx beats them hands down! Shipping time and rates are much better. Would be nice if they let us know when the cross over between when its more economical to ship by volumetric weight instead of actual weight occurs. Might have to take it easy on the boxes and cases based on your experience.... sounds like they only repackage when they want to....

So here is why its expensive to bring back boxes from the US. (You can apply this not to just Borderlinx though).

Cost me over $40 to get this here. More packaging than boxes of cards.

sweet man, hope the mojo pays you a visit (just like the money collector did with your shipping ahah) i have a feeling my dacard order will be of similar value.

I made a big mistake, i thought that borderlinx would be cheaper to ship over, i just checked the usps tracking to the borderlinx address, and it had the weight, 12.1 lbs, so i subbed those into the cost calculator and  a little over $70, lets hope its volumetric policy brings down the price dramatically, say down $30...

I setup boderlinx and a ebay.com account......

bought my first item on ebay and paid for.... went to buy a second item and says i have reached my limit and cant buy more?

can anyone help

Just a quick one when setting up your address for delivery from Borderlinx to your home address, in the city field would I put Townsville or Queensland?

So don't need to put the state in? And I check that one to be both my delivery and billing address right?

And I check both the boxes connected to that address to act as my delivery and billing address from Borderlinx to me right?
