Bootleg Cards - your thoughts

I have found some more bootlegs. Was half tempted to get some but thought better of it. What are other members thought?

BUT...bootleg cards aren't sanctioned by the NRL, so the players, clubs, game are deprived of legitimate income AND the rights holder to produce NRL cards pay a lot for the licence...

2012 Grand Final but there is a couple pictures of them with the minor premiers shield......

I dont think much of them. Girds could make something better in his sleep. Im surprised after all these years no one goes after him.

Some of these sets are limited edition sets of 50 or 100 only. Would be worth having in a collection. Most of them are premiership and would suit only team collectors. A set worth collecting for team collectors. Some people wont like them as not every year they can collect a set of there team.

So are they legitimate or not?, the seller is from the UK so I would assume that the Pommy fans share our passion in card collecting and that these have been produced by a professional outfit.

He does them at home on his computer and gets them printed. He does not own any of the copyright thus they are illegal.

I have a couple of these sets and the cards some sets are well made. I am not sure if they are produced under an official NRL license but a there are a few things that are not on ebay.

Not to mention the photographers, whose work he profits from with them making nothing.

I'd like to see him shut down. The cards themselves look rubbish.

You just have to look at them to know they are made at home, and that the NRL would never licence them.

How does he know who I am if I have not spoke to him. You want me to post previous correspondence i have had through ebay???

I talk to him regularly and ask him if he had a copyright or license on the cards. He ask me if I was asking him that question as to what has been said about on oz card trader. He knew what had been said about him on the site. As you said you contacted him earlier in this post I asked him if you did and he said no and he asked if that was the guy who bought out that price guide. I responded yes.
