2014-15 NBA Free Agents & Signings

It's still not really a bad contract. Frye will stretch the floor giving vucekic room to go to work. Frye is a starter in the league, he was always gonna get around that value from someone.

I dunno, if i put my "i wish I was a GM" hat on i think given his age, $6mill a year / 3 year contract (Team option 3rd year) would be ideal. I know its peanuts between the two deals in year one or two, but long term thats a big difference. I can even understand overpaying him now if required to get that team option.

But then again, I guess thats why I'm here and they make the big bucks!

That's definitely a nicer deal. Orlando should be hoping to be a playoff team in 3 years and use his expiring contract to get somebody back.

Melo apparently will announce on Monday (US) time where he is heading. Rumours are he has cut his list down to Lakers or staying in NY.

I'm shocked it's not bulls or Knicks.

Lakers will bounce back but there's 7 or so legit teams out there.

If Melo goes to the bulls, with or without rose I think they come out of the east.

Interesting point

According to a source, the Bulls feel that if Anthony goes elsewhere, they are one of the leading candidates to land free-agent big man Pau Gasol — unless Anthony happens to choose the Los Angeles Lakers, which could start the dominos falling and convince Gasol to re-sign with the Lakers. ‘‘It’s frustrating for [the front office], but it’s free agency,’’ the source said.
