2013 Origin II

I think so, but the Blues need to stick to their guns and start showing some faith in the players.

Agreed, NSW have used 15 halves pairings since 2006 and at least double the amount of players. Harrison and Shillo were victim's of a very poor QLD performance in game one. Generally speaking QLD have been so much more loyal than NSW to their players and have been rewarded with great continuity. Individually there are nothing between the QLD and NSW players it is just that through that continuity QLD play better as a unit.

I thought QLD dominated in the fowards and the whole pack was strong, Scott ran for 170m and I think that only 3 NSW fowards made just over 100m while 5 QLD fowards ran well over 100m. For NSW Lewis was again a massive threat everytime he touched the ball, Fifita had some good runs but got driven back several times as well. Merrin & Watmough did sweet F/A, Gallen and Bird always play their hearts out but Bird just didn't get much ball.

If Hayne is fit I think he will go to the wing in game 3 with Dugan to stay at 1.

I wonder if Woods will miss out with Tamou being available again.

sounds like most of you guys were wrong.
i hope they pick the same useless halves combination......... and you know im not talking about thurston because hes a champion player.
i dont think pierce or maloney will ever get that tag. Good luck in game 3 nsw, you will need it.

If laurie changes more than 3 players blues lose and if he doesnt change any except for meritt they still lose, only hope i see for them is carney/farah. Fifita played well

Sorry raving now, but i hope gallen is fit too, anyone ever remember him making a line break, i mean ever! entire career hahahaha love being a queenslander

The same "useless" halves that helped guide the Blues to win the first game? League fans have very short memories.

how many series has pierce won for nsw? my memory tells me pierce has always been a solid defender but very ordinary . the roosters halves combination has the worst record in the league of "forced dropouts" (thanks chanel 9 commentary) and they are supposedly nsw best.

Individually !!! how do they match up? fullback, halfback, 5/8, hooker, and both centres for queensland will be regarded as GREAT Qld representatives.

name some nsw greats in the current team?

nothing personal guys but we smashed nsw ;)

I've been drinking, but I'll plump with Paul Gallen. Would fit in any of those great sides from 1992-1994 and the late 90's / early 00's and mid-00's when QLD declared 'origin was dead'.

No matter how bad NSW are, we never pull that shit.

Farrah is a great. He's seriously a really great player. Tough, hard working, smart. He never stops, never gives in and he always makes a mountain of tackles.

how many try assists were provided by queenslands halves last night?

cronk inside 2 minutes with the ball to thaiday, thurston threw two of the best passes youll ever see for boyds try, and GI's came off a pinpoint accurate cronk kick. cronk almost set up boyd aswell of a kick.

in game one jennings scored a solo try and hayne's was an inside ball from luke lewis.

the halves provided us nothing, all they did was defend better in game one then game two. i dont think our kicking game was much chop in game one either.

i hope they bring in reynolds or keep the same pair, but they far from steered us to victory in game one, the fact we won game one was built on the base of the forwards.

Yeah our major problem is attacking options from our halves. They are good in defence but Pearce in particular has shown time and time again that he lacks the ability to set up tries. He seems to be a protected species though so i don't see our attack improving anytime soon...

agree, farah and smith are a class above all other hookers and have been for years.

Nsw havent always picked farah. Mick ennis is about as creative as mitchell pierce/paul gallen or my wall in my loungeroom that is beige.

Agree -great player, but not sure if hes a nsw great...yet.

Gallen = overrated maybe in time Hayne( if he keeps up the consistent form)

sorry for being so opinionated but i figure thats what this is for.

i didnt know origin in nsw was even alive.

Nsw pull cheap shots- 2 players charged gallen and merrin(striking)

Surely even a nswelshman would say they were dog shots.

if you wanna talk dog shots. The fullback is the king, and the biggest dog of them all

I couldn't give a XXXX.

Still only 1-1.

I hope Gallen plays and annihilates everyone, with his jersey torn to shreds and his fists like hams.

Then Mitchell Pearce scores a field goal at 79:59 on the clock to clinch the deal.

;-)

greg bird smashes a glass in his girlfreinds face = dogshot max, if we are going back to every incident

Its hard when we are so good so i understand your frustration, well not really ;)

It was a tactic that hasnt worked, but hey like you say its 1 - 1

I hope they both play too, every year haha

QLD players just like to set kids on fire and s**t everywhere, since we're going back to every incident :)

i knew the s*** would be brought up haha

tell me about the fire...

we also piss on legs at casinos

You really can't go past setting a kid on fire... It was Julian O'Neill - "In 2004, while on a pre-season trip to Australia with the Widnes Vikings, he was accused of drunkenly attempting to set fire to a 13-year-old boy who was wearing a foam-rubber dolphin mascot suit whilst on a river cruise in Port Macquarie. To avoid apprehension, O'Neill stripped to his underwear following the incident, dived into the Hastings River and swam to shore, before hitchhiking and being picked up by a passing car".

He also shat in a team mates shoe...and supposedly urinated under a blackjack table.
