The West Coast Eagles and the AFL have been made aware that youngster Murray Newman was involved in an altercation last week and has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

The youngster, who was recruited this time last year, will face court and the Eagles will wait until the case is over before making any further comments.

Must be serious, thats a pretty big charge.

Rumors that Adelaide have withdrew there 1st round pick out of goodwill. That to me is the sign of the club being guilt of breaking the AFL salary cap. I hope they get the book throw at them bloody cheats.

Smart move by Adelaide. Take the whack now when their draft picks a relatively low (or high numerically whichever you prefer), butter up to the AFL a bit and hopefully soften the penalty.
