2011 Series II - Any Rumours?

They did the same with Palmer in the 2008 release.

no they didnt, palmer won it in 08 meaning 09 would have his nab rising star signature card year but they did captain sigs not medal sigs that year. trust me i would have rathered medal sigs in 09 coz of buddy and hodgey. danyl pearce from port got a nab rising star sig in 2007.

few good things to come, a signature for every club which is awesome from Select. good to see b&f's back, for some reason i like them if done right. love the b&f's from Ovation. only 1 insert @ 1:72 making half the boxes very poor box breaks. they needs another 1:72 so atleast every box break has something. all aust cards need to be included. just noticed something when thinking about the all aust cards, i thought to myself now what have they replaced them with? nothing at all. in a standard box you'll get 3 x b&f cards, 2 x rookies, 1 medal card and one draft pick signature, thats only 7 inserts, if your lucky you'll pull a premiers card, boring. apart from the redemptions theres nothing in-between to get excited about. thinking about not getting a box now. not happy with the release at all.

The All Australians are part of the common set this year.

yes they are mate, just like in 2008. the all aust set is one i always try and complete but dont like seeing them in the common set. this release is missing a 1:6 or 1:8 insert and it amazes me that the all aust cards we're done as an insert.

Would rather another 1:72 then a 1:6, but i am more worried about the 1:1 ?? no Parrallel this year, been a while since they have been omitted, 2004?

Price increase would likely be due to the extra two redemption signatures...

Was this series printed in China? If it was, you would have hoped that would have gone some way to maintaining the price...

I have no issue with a justified price rise.

From a Collingwood point of view I am pretty happy with the release. There are medal cards and medal signatures for both Dane Swan and Scott Pendlebury, Best and Fairest Dane Swan, Premiership Commemoratives for 1929 and 1928, Draft Rookies for Alex Fasolo, Daniel Farmer and Kirk Ugle and a premiership redemption for when Collingwood wins the flag this year.
Draft Pick Signatures look great but you guys are right. Theres no motivation to buy 2 boxes because there are only Premiership cards as the 1:72. A bit dissappointing.

Well these were the sort of inserts you were guaranteed to get last year, I will include their estimated values..I'll include the 1:72 inserts..

195 Common Card Set $20
195 Guernsey Die-Cut Set (1 per pack) $ 40 for 36
2009 All-Australian Team Foiled Signatures (22) 1:8 packs ( $4 each or $16)
2009 Award Medal Winners (5) 1:36 packs $10
2009 Draft Pick Signatures (17) 1:36 packs (prices range, i'll make it at $40 for both 2010 and 2011
2009 Platinum Draft Pick Die-Cuts (28) 1:72 packs $60
Premiership Commemorative (8) 1:72 packs $30

So about $216 in value if you get BOTH of the 1:72 inserts..

2011:
Common Set $20
2011 Award Medal Winners (6) 1:36 packs $10
2011 Draft Pick Signatures (25) 1:36 packs (prices range, i'll make it at $40 for both 2010 and 2011)
Premiership Commemorative (8) 1:72 packs $30
Draft Rookies (34) 1:18 $25 x 2 = $50
B&Fs: (16) 1:12 - $7 each? x 3 = 21

$171 dollar value...

$45 dollar difference based on my estimates...However generally you only get one of the 1:72 inserts, so you can minus about $30 for that..

So about $15 - 20 diff.
