2011 NBA FINALS - Dallas v Miami - SPOILERS within!

Huh? What are you talking about? I used your words BECAUSE I was replying to you... What's your deal? I wasn't being a smart arse...

Geez. Take a chill pill. And don't talk down to me "if you're going to reply to me" - I'll reply to whoever I want. Who do you think you are..

You know damn well you were being a smart arse, that's what you do, you had any choice of words to reply with use your brain.

Reply to me then, I'm just gonna tell it like it is every time. And you, are a smart arse and the rest of what you are is not allowed to be typed here.

Wtf.. I don't even get your logic.

I wasn't being a smart arse, and I don't understand how using the same words as you means that I was??

I just said I wasn't being a smart arse, and that wasn't the intention, and that's the truth.

So you can continue carrying on and belittling me if you want, but I just told you that I wasn't being a smart arse nor was there any intent at being a smart arse. You just mis-interpreted and overreacted big-time.. And made yourself look silly in the process.

I have no problem with you, you apologized in that other thread for *some* of the stuff you've said in the past, and I accepted and haven't said anything since. I just told you straight up that I wasn't being a smart arse, and you mis-interpreted my intent, but if you don't want to accept it then that's your deal.

And what do you mean by
and the rest of what you are is not allowed to be typed here.

Yeah nice you're a real tough guy man. You know nothing about me apart from my opinions on basketball and you're willing to make judgments like that and attack me like that.

Whoa this thread blew up in the few hours I've been gone :)

Lebron brings all the negativity on himself. I disliked the guy right from the start simply because of his ego and smart mouth. This doesn't take away the fact he's an incredible baller though. Guy will probably win a few rings and that will probably help ease some of the negativity but damn this whole series has been well below what he normally delivers. I know he got the td today but you hardly noticed him the whole game.

Yeah I look silly. Let me just leave some time before I reply so all of the people can rush in and disagree with me.........

Keep digging up the Kobe rape thing to deflect from LeChoke, and google other NBA code violations while you're at it too and get a bit of variety.

Why oh why did I take you off my ignore list? Must be time to re-enable haha

Oh noes! I'm judging you like that??? Lol, you're so precious.

Enough of this, you're giving me a headache again. Enjoy the Mavs Championship.

KG fan just do what I do now and skip his posts, they go for too long and there's just something that annoys me about them.

 I've sorted it out now, had the email notification on so I get an email for replies to threads I post in but if they are on your ignore list you don't get an email. Sweet.

The Kobe rape was just a passing comment. If people want to keep talking about the decision than there's nothing wrong with me poking some fun at Kobe fans.

And I couldn't care less what other people think, I'm the one who wrote it so I think I'd know my intent behind it. Let's just clear this up though.

So you say I was being a smart-arse and blow up at me with profanities. To which I reply "No I wasn't being a smart-arse, that wasn't my intent, that's the truth."

To which you reply, stating that despite me writing it and knowing the intent behind it, I'm wrong and you're right. The other option would be to say I mis-interpreted something on the internet (not hard to do) and overreacted, sorry. But of course you're too arrogant and it would hurt your pride too much to do that.

I don't like conflict so I generally try to straighten things out but I'm done. Haven't got time to waste with internet tough guys who are likely twice my age and get off belittling others and attacking them.

Sorry I had to sleep, but for the record..
I don't really care who wins this series.
The only thing I'm upset at is that the season is almost over.
My point that I made originally was that I thought that the 2-3-2 format diluted the advantage for the home team advantage more than the 2-2-1-1-1 format. Strictly my opinion, and I gave my reason why.
Because as the home team your job is to win all your home games and it is the job of the away team to steal one of those from you. If home teams wins their first two and the away wins thier three, I feel that the home team is now under more pressure to win the last two in a row.
That is my whole opinion, I don't want to be wrapped up in a heat Dallas discussion or a lebrons greatness discussion.
Thought I d clear that up. See you Sunday!

NBA Finals 2011: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade feign illness ... at Dirk Nowitzki's expense? - ESPN Dallas

This is a bit rich coming from Wade - he's right up there with Paul Pierce putting on injury shows. The annoying thing about injuries is that the media looks for angles to help play up 'heroism' and 'courage' - don't think you'll find too many quotes from Dirk about his injuries/flu, just the media looking for angles and his teammates being proud of him playing through it.

As for Wade. This guy is becoming more unlikeable in front of our eyes. The whole 'poor me' crap when the Heat went on a losing streak - 'the world is a better place cos the heat are losing' - all the whinging to the refs and not getting back on D in the meantime (which must drive heat fans nuts), and now this.

He needs to look in his own backyard before he starts mocking a classy 13 year vet who hasn't put a foot wrong in that time. This crap just makes him look like a brat.

He had to give CHandler a rest though. CHandler is going to be a massive part of this series in the last two games, (hopefully one game ;)). With Hayward out, Mahiniminimiiimini was always going to get a few more minutes.

Should have put in The Custodian then ;)

As I said in the beginning.... Mavs in 6 ;)

Yeh agree with all that, didnt mind him beofre this year began, but LeBum has had quite the influence on him.

wow some of the horse sh!t in this thread is unbelievable!

One thing that is really irking me is no matter what LeBron does there is always something else he should have done. After the Game 2 loss everyone is saying LeBron needs to pass the ball more and stop taking shots, give Wade the ball to finish the game. Game 4 Lebron needs to stop passing the ball and get more involved offensively. Game 5 LeBron went missing again in the 4th blah blah farking blah.
He came back from what he acknowledged was a poor performance in game 4 with a triple double yet he's still getting sh!t for not stepping up? What about the rest of the team? Seriously how much more can the guy do?

Im also sick of the constant comparisons with MJ, he's not the next MJ he's nothing like MJ and never will be, he's a completely different player and is incredible in his own right. Why do we need to compare? Why can't everyone just see him for the player he is...a near perfect all around player. Im no fan boy of the guy (his maturity level and off court decision making leaves alot to be desired) but i think everyone needs to lay off him a little, a freakin triple double for christs sake and yet all everyone is *****ing about is his 4th 1/4.

Rant over back to slagging off every thing LeBron does

In response for the prosecution,

It goes with the territory. If you want to parade yourself around the way he does, talk yourself up the way he does, act the way he acts, then expect a buttload of criticism when you play like a busted hat full of horse*&(%. Yes, this is Dwayne Wade's team, but LeBron is the big man on campus in the eyes of everyone else. He stroked himself saying he was going to Miami to win championships (7 was it??), He held the TV special, he made the world wait, he was quite willing to have everyone "LOOK AT ME!!!" for the better part of three or four months, so, people are going to expect an insanely high standard.

In the last two rounds, he has destroyed Boston, his play against CHicago I will say I was fortunate enough to witness as it was simply amazing. Causing Pippen to say what he did (which we all know was way off the mark). Now, on the biggest stage of all, against the best team in the West, with the first of 7 supposed championships on the line, he has disappeared when it mattered most. How can the pseudo greatest player our game has ever seen score just 8 points in a finals game?? Expect flak if youre going to put up those sort of numbers, expect ALOT of Flak.

Heres a snnippett from NBA.COM

In "the biggest game of my life," James notched a Game 5 triple-double although once again his fourth quarter was uneventful. He had two badly missed shots, was called for charging and played poor defense against Jason Terry on a play that led to a Jason Kidd killer 3-pointer. Plus, he has missed 10 of his last 11 shots from 3-point range and his confidence from long distance seems shot.

Yes he responded with a triple double, but the Heat still lost. And if you look at why they lost it had very little to do with the big 3. Lebum - 17,10,10, Bush 19,10, D-Wood - 23,8. If all you saw was the stat sheets you'd think, "Oh yeh, another easy win to the Heat huh?" But maybe, this game has shown that even when these three perform, which they all did wuite well in game 5, the time honoured catch phrase "A team of champions doesnt make a champion team". Dallas depth may just have these three covered.

And to finish on Lebum, I think he is currently in a no win situation at the moment. If Dallas win this in 6 the story will be how he faded out in this finals series. If Miami win it will be all about how D-Wood elevated his own game. Unless he does something extraordinary in these last two games, the story will be how Lebum was simply Robin to his Batman, with Bush possibly playing Batgirl or Alfred.

Dude making light of rape in any regard is not cool.

Having just watched the game - what a fantastic performance by Terry - he basically ran the offense the 2nd half. Also an excellent effort by Chalmers - that guy is making himself a lot of money. He struggles with Terry from time to time but he's not the first and won't be the last for that to happen to them.

lol.. i just wanted somewhere to write so i could check out the new reply box :)

to remain on topic, go miami !

Wow that's awesome (the new reply box).

Also, I don't wanna incite further off topic discussion myself. Couldn't help responding to the one in my previous post though, it's simply unnecessary. Feel free to move on from that one everyone :)

Just saw it auto-save my message as I was typing, that is cool.

What on earth is going on with Wade? Or is the media just putting a spin and taking what he was saying about Dirk's illness out of context? I mean, come on. I've seen the press conference after he tore hiis tendon in his left hand. He shrugged it off! He shrugged the fever off as well, the next game he said he feels great. Dirk has nev used the sympathy card.

I can't say i've seen LeBron carrying on like he used to in Cleveland at all this year. There's been no on court dancing, talking himself up etc so thats where my comments came from. IMO he's being unfairly vilified for every little thing he does and the media are the worst for it. Game 4 wasn't his game but what else has he done thats so bad. I think the media want him to be the greatest ever player to play the game so when he doesn't live up to their expectations they jump on him which is not right, instead of criticising him for what he has done its like they are saying MJ would do things this way so James did a bad job. He is not MJ!
Did he have a few average 4ths? Yes offensively he did but watching the games he was involved in other areas of the game. Sure he could have been a bigger threat in attack but maybe Spo has told him to get more ball to others, we don't know what plays he's written up for them. Its all blame LeBron which is sickening to me when there are many other factors in a team game of basketball.

As for them winning 7 championships remember its this teams first year playing together, how many other teams in history have had complete overhauls of their team in all the key positions on the court and even made the finals before? We're not just talking about 2 new guys in the team, imo they've done great so far to even be here.

There's too much hate going on everywhere these days, what happened to just watching and enjoying some good bball?

Oh cool auto save function in the reply box too

We're one win away from this being historically comical.....

Am I the only one here that remembers Boston being in the exact same position as the Mavs last year. There is way to much knee jerking in the media around this whole LeBron hating. It's just got silly.

My prediction for game 6 - Heat will win with some very friendly calls assisting them. Stern wants this to go 7.

Ahhhh - I'm gonna presume...
A) - you meant the Heat and not the Mavs and
B) - you meant 07-08 and not last year....

Now that I've cleared that up...

No - when Boston signed KG and Allen, they didn't hold a party where they declared THEMSELVES (Wade said this) the best trio in the history of basketball, and that they'd win 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 championships (Lebron) like they were picking cherries. Boston just held your normal press conference, took a few photos and went into training camp.

Having said all that, the focus on Lebron is a bit high. Haven't found one story on how well Chalmers is playing. I'd go as far as to say if he has an off day this series could be done.

Basically the Mavs double Lebron, he ALWAYS passes and if Chalmers misses those open 3's he's been nailing then they will struggle. I know this is simplistic but he's shooting the lights out. The Mavs are taking their chances doubling LBJ and currently they're getting hurt by it. If Miller and Chalmers go 1-10 or something from 3 then this series could be over.
