Groups being drawn now.. United have picked up FC Basel and SL Benfica so far!

Warney - just looking at yr sig - Young 81?? That came off about 3 legs didn't it?? He won't get that one from the goal committee!!

Looks like SAF's little 7 year tanty with the BBC has finished....good to see he doesn't hold a grudge....for long.

came off one leg after Young's shot.. own goals look bad so i put down Young haha

If u look closely and slowly I actually think it glanced off 2 legs!! Was a crazy goal anyway...

CL draw - City has a tough one, United has a cruise.....might be important that.....

Travel wise City's aren't so bad but they'll all be tough games...I guess picking up Nasri might be important after all...

yeah it was a double deflection. OG might look bad, but so do inaccurate stats...
ade to spurs. done...loan.
aquilani back to italy. almost done. loan...for now.
barton to QPR. done.

Well it depends on what he's referring to. He slags refs off left right and centre - compare him to Mancini for example. Last year he was suspended from the sidelines at times for this..then there was the Rooney suspension which was entirely justified unless u like your stars dropping F-bombs down cameras on Sunday afternoons.

What else can he be upset about? I hate the int'l friendlies/ int'l games as much as the next guy , but if teams are gonna buy/develop English talent, of course they're gonna play in internationals - I dunno what his problem is...
Perhaps some of the united fans can help out here.

Simple - Fergie is God - dont mess with him.

maybe. im with lj tho, im not to sure what hes upset about? any manager knows if you got a bus load of internationals youll need depth. which he has plenty of. and hes not that often in trouble with the FA...
i dislike int'l friendlies, but you dont like legit games either lj? strange...
'arry talking about nasri. bad form.

Haha - what I really don't like is two week gaps between City games... Sure internationals are important but I have no affection for the England team, only City and I miss when they have breaks from playing. I think int'l friendlies are a joke....

The fixture list is odd - two weeks off for an int'l now and later in the year it's 3 games a week...

Well I watched Chelsea and Liverpool today - both had wins but Liverpool's was by far the better display...dominated the whole game. Chelsea look vulnerable at the back and some of their stars are just not stars anymore...3-1 was very harsh on Norwich who were good value for 1-1 and were pressing for a winner! It seems a bit odd that Chelseas continue to buy attacking players in Mata and Lukaku, when it's their defence which is looking old and worn...

i may have spoken too soon regarding how good manutd looked vs spurs. im now thinking it could just be spurs. city looking EVEN better than united did. some beautiful football being played...
always knew dzeko would come good. nasri looks like hes played with them for weeks.

Well. Not the best start to the season.
Oh dear.

i remember the 6-1 drubbing a few years ago, and this was faaar more impressive. united good enough to hate them like i did back in the day.
another red card for arsenal. plus vermaeln out again. not good at all...
wenger needs to accept that some of the players he thinks are just as good as anyone out there, put simply: arent. *cough* theo *cough* arshavin *cough* jenkinson...plus his entire bench.

That was really hard to watch. Hopefully the damage done is repairable. If anything, this result better bloody enforce to our stingy board that we are a football club not a business.
I'm going to climb under a rock till the transfer window shuts midweek, and we best have spent some money.

WoW not good for Arsenal, need to spend the cash, no good buying young / unproven players all the time without supplementing them with experienced / proven players, will be a long season at this rate.....
Manu looking good already....
