Keen for tomorrow morning's clash. Should be a good match. Hopefully United's youngsters show how good they really are!

/\/\ too much baloney on the site. makes it to hard to tell the difference between solid rumours and pie in the sky dream moves...
mancini warning wenger over nasri playing vs udinese. fair enough, but this transfer is turning out to be worse than the cesc saga. mancini claims he was hoping it would be over in 2 or 3 days not the 40 its taken so far. now he thinks itll take another 2 or 3 days. either way, arsenal need to ditch him because its pretty obvious he wont be signing a new contract and theres no point in letting him go for nothing next year...

Not sure about that. Arsenal are in a more than sound financial position, so don't need the money. And I'd much rather he was with us for the season, regardless of what he does next year. I hope Wenger plays him against Udinese. If we lose, he won't be cup tied, and the money we get from City will help make up the loss of the tv money for the Champions Leauge. If we win, we keep a player that we would struggle to replace at this stage of the transfer window anyway... (and I won't have to try and peel his name off of the back of my shirt from last season :(, not yet anyway)

if he plays at all, win or lose hes cup tied (unless hes a sub and dont get a run). or is that just for the uefa cup and not champs league?
granted tho hes needed at arsenal this season, so i can see why youd want to keep him, but wengers not the kind of manager to make nothing on a player transfer...

EDIT: joe cole to QPR. personally i think that would be a fantastic move for his career. hes the kind of player that needs to be running the midfield (aswell as playing every week), not playing second fiddle to the likes of gerrard and lampard.
now the italians are threatening a strike...

£24m for a player who had one 4 month purple patch in 3 years? Thanks again City...
Time to spend (I hope)

seems a little harsh. hes quality. and at 26mill, quite a deal. was just starting to show what he can do...
anyone watch united vs spurs? have to admit that was some of the most attractive football ive seen manutd play in years. bad sign...except for united fans.

Only saw first half...sounds like they're playing great though....

Nasri is on the way....I think this'll be the last big name player City sign for a while...The team is set, just need to gel now....

As for Arsenal - they now have a truckload of money to spend - and 8 days to spend it.....watch this space.

the problem with arsenal has never been lack of funds to spend. its the strict wage rules the club have...

nasri to city finally completed.
ditto for mata to chelsea.
leyton O and spurs given a lifeline to the olympic stadium. as a hammers fan im still hoping one of them gets it over us...

Had a bit of quality -time will tell how much- and if he didn't want to play for us, then had to move him on. Personally would of liked to have kept him and hope he would change his mind, but when it's about money, not much chance of that. Anyone else you'd like City??
Adebayor - out on loan
Toure - drug ban
Clichy - bench
Nasri - we'll see I suppose...

Anyway the lads looked good against Udinese for the most part this morning. Good ball from Gervinho to RVP who got ot back to 1-1. Then a SUPERB save from Szczesny from a b.s. penalty that was a very harsh handball on TV5, after he was pushed in the back to meet the ball. Blistering run by Theo to beat their keeper and seal it...

Ade - probably going to Spurs - never figured why Mancini didn't like him, I did.....
Toure back next week.
Clichy started wk one and will start game 3
Nasri will be a big feature of the team...no doubt...

To be honest the whole City's fans are better than Arsenal's is standard fare for a new player trying to suck up to the new fan base...

Of more concern for Arsenal I woulda thought is - why are they leaving? Can't put it all down to them all being primadonnas. Great win for them today anyway - hope they carry some momentum thru for the United game...

WARNEY - good to see you're frequenting the official MCFC site...u changing alliegances?? I would run a rusty razor over my ballsack before I went to any united site!!! haha!

I wouldn't of said Kolo and Clichy were primadonnas. Ade and Nasri yeah. All four left for more money. Not so much Kolo I suppose. He had fallen out with Gallas and at the time Gallas was Wengers preferred option between the two. To be fair, he had a cracking season up until the suspension. Clichy had lost a bit of pace and had been making a lot more mistakes than he used to, so good on him on cashing in on himself when he did.

If u wanna laugh - check out fanzone Danny - Dunno if all yr clubs do fanzone - I know United do...
Anyway it's on the 2nd page of this menu - about a 5 minute clip - always very entertaining! Fans in a box screaming tand annoying each other right thru a game....

Always some golden moments...

Rishgoon - good input. be interesting to see how Clichy goes. The team is very structured - or was last year. They seem to be taking more risks this year in pursuit of goals, so he'll be closely watched.

Also - true about Toure - I never rated him when he first arrived, he was caught out in the last seconds vs United - waaaay up field when Scholes headed a winner at 0-0 - unforgiveable for a centre back...Last year he was excellent as u said. Be interesting to see whether he gets a spot ahead of Lescott, as he's been good too...

Had a bit of quality -time will tell how much-

kinda sounds a bit like sour grapes. trying to deny how good he is cause you dont got him no more...? would have rather kept him than cesc. cesc had too many injury problems...
brilliant save from szczesny last night.

Plenty of sour grapes. Not happy that a player we had scouted for a couple of seasons, then eventually signed, leaves the club just as he is potentially becoming world class. Whether or not his career continues on the up and up we'll find out. The first four or so months of last season he played the best football of his career. The rest of the season after that, he wasn't so good. There haven't been too many players who have left the Arsenal at this stage of there careers (in my time) who have gone onto bigger and better things. Still would of kept Cesc over Nasri any day of the week. May be plagued by injuries now for the rest of his career, but injuries or not, he is pure, proven class.
I miss him

looks like we'll have to listen to the drunk scotsman on a regular basis once again as he's decided to start giving post-match interviews for the BBC again...was nice while it lasted.

Well Mr Wenger, when shall you start your spending? :)
