its the 2011 list. gets given out early january (2012) for the best player through out 2011. not the 2011-12 season.
only 3 players from epl in the list and only a single englishman. once again showing that in football, stronger and faster doesnt always mean the best...take note england/epl.
maybe RVP didnt play in enough games? only reason i can think of...
and its got to be messi again surely?

EDIT: whats everyones team-names in FPL? id like to know who im beating...

Yes I know it's a 2011 award. Just can't believe RVP didn't get a nomination. What is it now, 29 goals from last 28 games? This season is only 10 games or so old. I know the winner is normally from a major cup winning club/nation, so I'd tip Messi to win again. If Van Persie keeps up current form will have a LOT of goals for the calendar year...

/\/\ just read RVP thinks he can score in every game he plays. not sure about that, but you gotta love the confidence...
he only played about 25 games all up in 2011 tho, which is why i think he may not have played enough.

Just out of curiosity - what did Rooney do to get on the list? He's stunk it up for the last 18 months bar about the first 6 EPL games of this year! If u compared him to Tevez for example.....who isn't there...

Your kidding right - i think just trying to start sh#t.

However last time i checked Tevez did not lead his team to a Championship or the Champions League Final........or score the goal of the year against their most hated rivals.

/\/\ rooney had his worst season ever in 2010-11 and i wouldnt say he led united to any of their trophies/achievements. and a good goal (goty im not sure about) dont mean nothing when theyre making the short-list. so it must be for the purple patch he had the first month of this season. i am also quite suprised he made it on there...

youre right. i am a hater. but the better point was they had to take someone from united. i wouldve been far less suprised at nani or even berbatov getting the nod. rooney was just poor. that goal was just about all he did.
no doubt someone named it goty, i just meant personally.
