I'm in a league from this site.

Spuds vs City tonight - BRRRIIING IT!!!! Can't wait.

Balotelli has just signed with City - very excited about this - a young strong talented player coming off the bench behind Ade and Tevez. He's a hot head but Mancini was basically his mentor at Inter and it all turned to custard form him when Mancini left. This kid is a beast!

In other city news (and there's plenty of it!) Bellamy imploded and talked himself out of the City 25 for the season. Personally i feel sorry for him. He was excellent last year but he just couldn't keep his mouth shut and will soon be playing for his 137th club!!!

It also looks like City will be signing James Milner from Villa - sounds like costing $18 mill plus Stephen Ireland - that to me is crazy. Ireland is an excellent player and yet we're paying and giving him up! Nuts.
Still - I also thought Bellers was a bad signing and he was excellent so I hope I'm proved wrong!!!

Can't wait till tonight although our combinations will be awful. Our team has hardly played together. Balotelli is also not available tonight...

yeah can't wait, will be the best game to kick off a EPL in the last 10 years! And Mark Schwarzer has handed in a transfer request to Fulham, but does Arsene Wenger still want him?

Wenger didn't rule out making another bid in an interview yesterday. Definitely need a quality keeper if the are Gunners going to be challenging, and although Koscielny has slotted straight in, still need some more defensive cover following the departure of the three old men Gallas, Silvestre and Sol. And another DM would be good...

Getting back to Schwarzer, and I'm sure I've crapped on about it before, but pretty ticked off with Fulham and Mark Hughes. Fair enough, I can see why they'd want to keep him. But they guy is in the twilight of his career, let him join a big club, play in the Champions League, and have a chance to win silverwear. They might, but I can't see Fulham having as good a season as last year, and it could quite possibly be his last year playing anyway. Cash in while you can, and let someone who has been a tremendous servent to the game have his just rewards at the end of his career (which also reportedly includes a coaching role at Arsenal)

AND I'm still waiting to buy my new kit for this season because of the slowness of this bloody transfer...

City were 2nd best all day - thank god for Joe Hart! Still a good result for us - we'll be at our worst at the start of the year when the team hasn't played together. What a result for Blackpool! 4-0 away in their first EPL game!!

pretty frustrating game (sunday nites). after dominating possession for the majority of first half would of been nice to score, but ala last couple of seasons, all ball, no score... definitely the better team in the first half though.
different team in the 2nd half against 10 men, but with players still to come back into team, pretty happy with a point from Anfield
solid debuts from Chamakh and Koscielny, good to have something extra up front with Chamakh, can't wait to see him and RVP in form together. Arshavin obviously felt he'd done enough against 'pool his last couple of games against, as he was near non-existant.

Interestingly (is that a word?), with Cesc still out, Wenger gave the armband to Almunia. Not sure if that was a 'thanks, now head to the bench', but Schwarzer's arrival is surely imminent. Still some talk about Shay Given, who I would prefer, but would be surprised if City would deal with the Gunners. and Schwarzer, if he's not a Gunner by the end of the week I'll be surprised...(by this time tomorrow I reckon...)

That bloke Koscielny was lucky Cole didn't break his leg - anyway he'll have 3 games to get it right. As will Cole! I'd doubt very much if City let Given go to a rival. Same reason they won't let Bellamy go to Spurs. No doubt though u need another keeper - Almunia would be one of the worst first choices in the league.

I wish spurs all t he best for their CHamps league qualifier - the more games they have to worry about the more chance City have to top them in the league....

yep agreed! And their second choice Fabianski is terrible!

Almunia isn't that bad a keeper. Not suited as a No 1 at a team like The Arsenal, better as a No 2 I reckon. With Fabianski, he's been ok but made some major blunders last season as well, prob best to cut our losses there, with give Mannone his chance in the cup/s this year.

Ok result in Switzerland this mornin, 3-0 would of been nice, but hopefully the Young Boys can get a result at ****e Hart Lane as well

I'd be delighted if the Arse kept their keepers and didn't make any changes!!! Dunno what our chances of keeping Given are. He's too good to stay a #2 all year and I don't think he'll buy into only playing cup games...at his age he needs to play.

You guys all are doubting Liverpool and yet with 10 men we were able to grab a 1-1 draw against a top 3 side. If it wasn't for the goal keeping fudge up we would have grabbed all 3. The Poulsen signing is only going to add further depth and if we do end up selling Mascherano then it frees up more cash. Bring it on I say
