2006 NBA Finals - Heat vs Mavs

Only Boston (1969) and Portland (1977) have rallied from an 0-2 deficit to win the finals.

I have to hand it to the Mavs. Wade can't get inside and Shaq's frustrated. The Heat did cut it to 12 when Zo was in. His block on Harris was pretty sweet.
Stackhouse for MVP.

as i said.. it drives me insane.. i brought it up once, and responded to why i singled him out... dont know why it looks like we start hating each other cos we like different players/teams or see things differently.. i poke at people (players/teams) for fun.. not to start abusing someone..

white choc, who really cares if he takes a bit of a whinge (what he doesn't even do that much). If you get hit down who cares if you get straight up or whine about it, only start caring if they call tech's (which they did today, but wade's not usually got called for tech's).

Does it really matter guys? Don't dwell on stupid things like that.

You're quite right about this.

But I think what whitechoc wants to say is that MJ became MJ because everytime he goes hard inside and get knocked down, He will get back again but harder than the first one.... Which made him the greatest player ever. He didnt care if he failed. MJ just kept trying...

That's even better than what I was trying to say..

I'd like to see Wade focus on the job, and focus at what he's wanting to acheive.. he's easily thrown off his game if the opposition is too fierce or overwhelming.. I don't want to see him turn to the refs.. Attack the player in a different way than the first attempt.. he has the ability to do that..

Wade should realise or learn from what MJ did. MJ's first (probably) 5 years, he loves to go inside most of the time. But I guess he figured out that if he can make jumpshots consistently, it will be better for himself (his body) and for his team. And less stress to worry about a no call when he gets whacked inside.

Yeah Alonzo!! The commentators were gasping after Zo hit a left handed hook shot and a couple of quick baskets. I was thinking.. "This is a guy who scored 11,000 points in 8 seasons, he averaged 20+ for 8 straight seasons while healthy, he KNOWS how to score down there!!"

If it was over now I'm not sure if I'd give it to Terry or Dirk. Both have had strong showings in both games.

Dirk- 21.0 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.5 spg, 1.0 bpg, 31.0 minutes
Terry- 24.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 5.0 apg, 2.5 spg, 33.5 minutes
Howard- 12.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 34.0 minutes
Dampier- 7.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 27.5 minutes

Id like to say this about Wade...

his first drive, against Diop...he just ddint seem to elevate, or have the explosiveness....not like Ive seen before where he is athletic as all get out....the commentators said he was or has been sick? but I reakon he's injured...he just wasnt doing the explosive things...sure he got a couple of break away dunks, but his drives where about as good as I could do (LOL) while ive seen him jump outta the building, a couple of times he was just flalling arms...

I reakon either the flu took a LOT out of him, or his injured.

Wade started game 1 so composed getting to the hole and the line at will, looked like he was gonna have his way with the mavs

Credit to Avery Johnson, clearly the coach of the year, mixing up defensive matchups 2-3 times every quarter. the Mavs have done what detroit couldn't.

And just a little of topic: flip saunders fukked the pistons in the playoffs!

Why should wade be worried about taking a hit when going to the hole anyway. I mean its the NBA finals for god sake, not the best time to start
becoming a pussy.[-X . Where's the heart.
And he's the only one wearing the padded under suit for protection, you'd think he'd wanna go strong every time.

my 2¢

i agree, he definately wasn't himself, and don't say it was defense.

good point/s =D>

All good white choc... My biggest arguement these days in the league is the Flagrant Foul call... it seems when ever a defender challenges a shot hard the coaches/players look for the Flagrant... what happened to just good physical challenges....! anyway no hard feelings on the wade call just my little bit in the thread!!

that's cool.. im happy for other peoples views.. i mean we're all entitled to share views on this kind of thing..

yeah flagrant fouls... i see what your saying.. theres a difference in how hard you foul someone.. and is it the ball your going after..

mourning HAS TO PLAY MORE play him with shaq even, he's not getting enough minutes n him and shaq on the court at the same time would be scary even for 5 mins extra a half

yeh i know although his passing out of the post was awesome wheres the shaq from L.A i still reckon he can get 30 a game n needs to take 20+ shots i dont know wtf is wrong with pat i think i should coach em
