2006 NBA Finals - Heat vs Mavs

so does game 5 decide this series people??

Let's hope the next 3 games have game winning shots, plenty of OT and double OT matches!

Can you imagine Game 7 - Dirk Diggler for the win and the title at the buzzer..........

A god could be born in this series...in da clutch!!
 
when you think about it.......its almost like last years finals spurs /pistons.......except for the huge blowouts......game 5 has alot of big time shots......1997 Jordan's flue game.....2001 lakers win title...1998 Jazz huge win in chicago....and lets not forget horry last year.......by far this is the biggest game and a must win for the heat otherwise they will have a tough ask winning 2 games in a row in the Finals on the Road.....this is a must win for the heat
 
GO HEAT!! tied back at 2-2, Zo had 6 boards and 4 blocks off the bench, that's my hero right there, and not because of his skill, because of his intangibles! Leads the team in blocks in only 10 mins, GO SHAQ 17 and 13!! Not a huge game but much better than the past, D-Wade is unstoppable, 39 ppg in the last 2 games!
 
The Mavs were looking strong to take this out, but I'm very happy to see the Heat taking charge again. I really think from this point the Heat are unstoppable, especially with Stack out for game 5 (psycological thing). Heat in 6!
 
Heat should take the next 1 and will need to close it out in 6 otherwise it'll become dangerous. If Dallas take this next one without Stack it will be a big worry.
 
While I don't totally agree with Stackhouse being suspended and while I do agree that Shaq has been getting away with a couple of things, thats the way the cookie crumbles. Sucked in. Go Heat!!

So Jimbo, we have to wait till the end of June to find out the new player you'll be collecting? Any hints? ;)
 
I think people are missing the obvious tho....

Both teams have done what they should have done.... won @ Home...

Mavs ALMOST (grrr, bad memories) took game 3, so they CAN win in Miami, it's just they havent yet... (if that makes sense).....

Bugger it, I gotta go back to work Monday, will have to watch it when I get home, gonna be hard not checking live scores....

Yes but both teams haven't done what they've had to, win one game away, and the mavs haven't stood up and done what their record/acheivments have reflected.. they should be celebrating by now..

ON a different matter..

* Game 5 could be the last time Alonzo Mourning takes the floor with his home crowd behind him..
* The last team to win 3 straight games at home in the NBA finals was the 2004 Pistons team that beat the lakers 4 - 1
* The Mavs havent lost 3 straight since

thats pretty good research whit choc........the 2004 pistons were the only team to win games 3 4 and 5 at home (in the finals)....so the heat if they take game 5 will be the second team in finals history to do it.......they HAVE to win this game....for all the heat fans if they lose game 5 do you think they can win 2 in a row in Dallas? to win the title?...good luck....game 5 is the key for the heat
 
I think I'll stay away from this thread after 11am today. Can I ask that no one post the scores anywhere else other than here....

I wanna watch it "semi-live" when I get home.

1st Day back at work.... .so many emails, so much to do...
 
I think with Stack gone Dirk and Van Horn will step it up.. that's my guess.. I think the Heat will come in a bit too relaxed.. I don't see the Mavs losing 3 in a row.. Especially now they're off from their mental vacation ;)
 
looks like the Mavs big 3 are firing!! Dirk, Terry and Howard had 46 of the mavs 51 first half points :shock: and looks as if Wade is missing alot of shots etc.

if the heat cant find a way to stop the Mavs big 3 they are no chance to take out game 5.....

yeah true but also it contributes when u miss 12 ft compare to none for dallas.
