15-16 NBA Draft and Pre- Season discussion

In the east you'll still be a playoff team, pending how PG has recovered

Not sure about that, our shaky bench got worse, Young and Turner will both have to play big minutes, I guess Turner starts, our bench really has Stuckey as 6th, Young, Lavoy, Mahimi, Solomon Hill,,,,, presuming starting 5 are Hill, Ellis, Miles, George and Turner,,,,, not a great line up in anyone's books.

Drexler giving it to dj right between the eyes lol

Drexler... it burns!!

He's right though, and whilst it's true that until it's inked in, a deal's never a deal, but the opportunities the Mavs COULD have chased if DJ was a no-go, have all been done, so they're now desperate to fill a side.

They've paid Wes Matthews a max deal now, upping his $ since no DJ (he was flexible for if the Mavs DID sign DJ, he'd take lesser money to assist), and now they've traded a 2nd rounder for Zaza Pachulia from the Bucks.

Jordan Hill, ok, not as bad as thought,,,,Zaza, I feel for Mavs but then again, Cuban has so much money that it is hard to feel to sorry for them,,,,

Cuban has so much money because he's a successful business man, not because of the Mavs, lol.
Dude was raking the coin when he was 12!!!

Can't believe Gerald Green going to MIA for a mid level! CHEAP!!!

Mavs HAVE to talk trades with someone about a PG.

I've been watching the U.S. version of Shark Tank, which he is a "shark". He's easily the most wealthy of the 6 of them and it's not even close. His net value is like 10 times that of the other 5 combined - it's crazy. From that perspective I have much respect for him.

You see him come out at Broussard and say if he (Broussard) can find evidence that Cuban was calling DJs friends/family re: "the deal", he would donate $100k to charity. Just like that. He's rolling!

Yet what's funny, is he doesnt like to go over the cap, which eventually goes to charity anyways, but HATES going over in tax.

Also just noticed that Tristan Thompson remains unsigned with the Cavs. Apparently Lebron is waiting on that deal before signing his own with Cleveland?

Coming off the bench behind Love will impact Thompson's season, as you would assume Love will be back at full strength next season?

Haha, thought you were talking about Gerald Green there, took me by surprise.

Unless you're calling the sixers a charity, I'm not sure you are correct there man.

Each team that pays luxury tax pays it at the dollar for dollar rate to the league. The combined total from all teams to pay the Luxury Tax then gets divided evenly amongst the teams that are below the cap - thus creating market equalization and a way to even the playing field between the big cities and the small ones.

Oops, totally my bad, I thought it was paid to charity from the NBA.

As you were. :)

i feel for dirk, im happy butler stayed with us.

i cant wait to see okafor playing against the big boys he looks exciting.

i want the season to start already :)

Oh man, until this is a done deal, I'll always be a little on edge, but this IS great!

$5m a year for 2yrs, I'll take that!

Leaves about $8m I think to sign another big, and then fill it out with 1-2 prospects.

I think BKN would now send Joe Johnson and his salary away for a bag of potato chips. Their draft pick is top 7 protected (I think) so it seems that's where they are heading

that Brooklyn pick is going to Boston no matter where it falls.. mavs pick if lands out of top 7 will also go to boston
