You would have to assume he won't play BUT...
1) If you have a look at the anatomy and see how thin this bone actually is, 3 steel plates should more than suffice if the pain is under control
2) Dr's opinion is just just that. I never say never when you are dealing with sports injury (or any other for that matter)
Ultimately your health is your wealth and he is taking a BIG risk playing. 1 game day and bragging rights Vs potential disability the rest of your life

Calling all Broncos fans to send a message to the club urging Darren Lockyer NOT to play for the remainder of the season. As much as I would like him to win a Premiership, doing so is not worth risking his health. He has nothing to prove to the fans and wider NRL community..................listen to your Doctor mate.
