Calling all Broncos fans to send a message to the club urging Darren Lockyer NOT to play for the remainder of the season. As much as I would like him to win a Premiership, doing so is not worth risking his health. He has nothing to prove to the fans and wider NRL community..................listen to your Doctor mate.

Agree here, i don't think he will play Friday, but if they make the grand final he definitely will

I dont think anyone would set out to go after him. Manly are trying to qualify for a grand final - you would think they will go out and just play their game.

Of course there are players that will go out there and try to put other players out of the game (most of the time within the rules). Any player going into a game with an injury is a target. And Matai loves to go after players.

While he might do it if the opportunity comes up not even Matai will go out of his way to take out Locky with a grand final berth on the line. Who wants to risk a suspension for a GF? Des Hasler is preparing to win this weeks game, not have on his his players put a cheap shot on Locky. Manly are in the very lucky position of being able to fly under the radar this week.

Find it strange that Lockyers Doctor would come out and say this, whatever happened to Dr / Patient privacy....

Maybe it's apart of the script. Maybe the current fairytale angle needed an extra twist. Add a bit of Sattleresqe, the against all odds - soldier on - played with a broken face legend angle. Broncos win the grand final, the NRL has it's massive Lockyer fairwell fairytale which will be a huge feelgood story going into the independant commisions takeover and the beginning of the rights negotiations.

I'll still be hearing about it in 30 years....now they just have to pull it off.
