OUT: Clinton Toopi, Greg Bird
Rival coaches Shane Flanagan (Cronulla) and John Cartwright (Gold Coast) have rung in the changes for Saturday night’s clash at Toyota Stadium. Cronulla backs Nathan Gardner, John Williams and Colin Best have been dumped while former Australian Schoolboy Tyson Frizell, who debuted in the big loss to the Broncos, makes way for the return of captain Paul Gallen. Fullback Isaac Gordon and centre Ricky Leutele, who made one appearance in 2010, have been recalled, while Ben Pomeroy gets another chance in the centres. Paul Aiton moves to the bench. Cartwright has axed veteran centre Clinton Toopi, while lock Greg Bird is missing with a hamstring injury

Not that i have watched Souths closely over the years but has Roy been a dissapointment? for the $$$ he was on, and the potential before his move, i think his been ordinary, what do Souths fans think?

Roy is an awesome player and has been hampered by a couple of serious, season ending injuries.
Sure, he is on good coin, but there are plenty of players like that around that limp around (I can think of a Trent Barrett for a few years in and out of Saints side, Timmins as well, Dean Young - but faith was shown in those players and deservedly so).
But this is his 5th season with us, ain't getting younger and with Luke Burgess showing how it is done...well.
Macguire has started the clean out though. Interesting times ahead.

I will also add that I have heard that certain RU players have signed up to a RL side for 2013. This will occur with the new TV deal, increased cap, etc under the new IC RL. Will be absolutely massive if it is true as the prodigal son returns. This story has been floating around for a while but a couple of very good sources say it is true.
