is there any truth to the rumour that nrl teams have been talking to quade cooper from union and johnathan brown from afl??

He killed it for the Crusaders but we do give him good press still. Quade would easily be a Top 5 NRL player, Just what QLD need......another freakish playmaker.

Coote is also been sounded out by the Roosters...
Dragons interested in Dugan & Coote
Rooster as above
Dogs apparantly with Dugan (not sure if this was a throw away line)
Tigers also interested in Dugan, but have denied?

A Statement from Kevin Moore

On Tuesday 12 July, I was told by Ray Dib, Canterbury-Bankstown RLFC Chairman, and Todd Greenberg, Club CEO, that my services as Head Coach were no longer required by the Club after season 2011.

Having considered the impact this will have on my family, my support staff and the players, and importantly, the Club that I love and have been involved with since the early 1970's, I will stand down effective immediately having helped the team complete its preparation for Friday night's game against the Warriors in Auckland.

I feel very privileged to have been a part of a great Club for so long and I want to thank all who have been a part of this journey with me.

Please respect my right to privacy at this time, and to allow the Bulldogs to focus solely on the remainder of the 2011 season.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs can confirm that Kevin Moore has this afternoon stood down as head coach of the Club, effective immediately.

"Kevin Moore was told this week that his services would not be required next season and he was given the option to finish out the year," Bulldogs Chief Executive Officer Todd Greenberg says. "He has elected to finish up immediately, which is his right.

"Kev has been great for our Club over a forty year period across a number of roles, from ball boy to head coach. However with regard to the head coaching position it had become clear that it was time for a change.

"It's an incredibly hard position for us all to be in given Kev's standing within the Club and we are certain his contribution over a lifetime - not just his time as head coach - will be given due recognition by all Bulldogs supporters.

"Kev should be commended for making what is an incredibly tough decision for him professionally and personally.

"He was a major part in the Club's turnaround over the past three years both on and off the field and his contribution will be remembered fondly by all those who have worked with him.

"Kev can be proud of his achievements as head coach - his Dally M coach of the year title in 2009 being paramount among them.

"Furthermore, his lifelong dedication to the Club is to be respected and admired and no matter where he goes or what he does in the future, he will always be a Bulldog.

"He can leave with his head held high and we thank him for his service and dedication to the Club."

Assistant coach Jim Dymock has been appointed as caretaker coach for the remainder of the 2011 NRL season.

As per post a while back he had the full support from the board if he chose to stay, which he didn't. Just quietly I suspect he was pushed out rather than sacked as a sacking wouldn't look good for "The Family Club"!

Just talking to a mate who's a Souths fan, he says Sandow isn't going anywhere next year, including Parra... Has something changed with that situation, or is old matey just clinging on stubbornly?
