I don't think that means he'll be guarding him exclusively. Almost positive that Bron, Udonis, Joel and Bosh will all see time on him.
 
LeBron will score twice as many points as Dirk so they don't really need to worry about who is playing D on him.

Yep. The logic astounds me. "Who is going to guard Dirk?" "Oh, nobody can stop him, I guess the Heat will lose then."

Any answers for LeBron, Wade and Bosh?? Can Dallas slow one of them let alone two in any given game??

Hopefully the Heat close out on shooters and keep the Mavericks contained from deep. If they do that they will win. It's not a matter of whether they are able to, rather will they be disciplined? Anyone who watched the Bulls series would have heard Kerr harp on about how quick the Heat's defensive rotations are. With LeBron, Wade and Chalmers out on the perimeter, and when Bosh, Anthony and Haslem get drawn up with the pick and rolls - I think the Heat are quick, long and athletic enough to cover the shooters.

Go Heat! Bring on Game 1 :) :lol:

The way I look at the "Who will guard Dirk issue" is that one man does not make a team. So what if Dirk drops 50 what is everybody else going to do? You can't then rely on Terry, Barea and Peja to give you scoring off the bench. You have to get more out of your starters like Chandler and Marion. Stevenson is another starter who doesnt quite cut it in my books his just there to play D on Lebron. He provides minimal scoring and fails to make an impact.

So if I was Miami i'd just let Dirk have a big night and lock down the rest of the team which really isnt that hard.
 
Well Wade is not 100% or he has learnt from the Lebron shoulder injury book on how to ham it up then go and hit 20 points in the 4th qtr :lol: so if Lebron and Bosh are occupied "shutting down" Dirk and Wade has an average night if I was the Heat I'd be more worried about what a resurgent Marion, an on-fire Terry, a sniper in the bushes Peja and a "having a career year" Chandler are going to be doing. To say it's not that hard is laughable really. Mavs are by far the deeper team here.
 
I think this is gonna be a shoot out and expect they will be running up and down the floor scoring. Don't give a f**k who wins - just want to see a great series. Hope it goes to 7 - nothing better than a game 7 with everything on the line.

Wade probably isn't 100% but I'm sure he can bounce back and play well for a series. He's got a lot of drive.

I don't know what you mean by LeBron and Bosh being "occupied" having to defend Dirk. That won't use up all their energy. Marion I'm worried about, Terry can be a major threat (hopefully he's off), but Peja? Really?? What's he going to do? Pick your poison. Put him on the floor and either LeBron or Wade is just going to dissect him every second he's on the floor. It's the same as Korver really. He's on there to shoot, but he's going to probably give up just as many points on defense as he provides on offense.

The Mavericks are DEFINITELY the deeper team here. But so were the Celtics and Bulls. Will more top-end talent, beat a deeper more balanced team with more mid-end bench talent? Who knows, but it's worked so far.
 
Pumped up for this Finals! Wooo! I'm stoked for Miami to have proven the doubters wrong by making it to the Finals, a ring would be gravy. But Dirk deserves this ring so badly, and the Heat have many many years left together. Dirk and Kidd and an aging team? To get back to this stage again and to win it would be a huge task. This is going to be a very very difficult Finals for the Mavs with the Heat having homecourt.

So all said and done, LET'S GO MAVERICKS FOR DIRK AND KIDD'S SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Jimbo but nobody will be able to contain Dirk & yes, the Mavs will easily handle all of the big three at once...... plus the Mavs shooters will kill them. Heat don't have a chance..... Mavs 4-0.

Turns Out I Like The Whole Mavs Team ! lol ... Except For DeShawn Stevenson ... He's the bad type of crazy. I like the good type of crazy (Ron Artest, Tony Allen, Kevin Garnett)

... I expect the Mavs to win the Championship ... But watch out for Lebron, Wade & Bosh ! Apparently those guys are pretty good together ... So they say. lol.
 
Expecting a big game from king James, key to the heat winning will be their ability to contain dirk. Can't wait for it to start!
 
Stupid work! Going to have to watch the replay, i expect LeBron to score 30+ tonight and tear the Mavs defence to shreds. Wade to chime in with another 30 and Dirk will be locked up and be lucky to score 20 points in this one.

We'll see how that goes :lol:
