Celtics v Heat 2011 Playoffs Second Round Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

I dunno about you but I like to actually WATCH important games for the teams I follow...... how can you follow them play by play on the net when you could come home & download it & watch it later?

Been a bit busy at uni this week, so even if I taped it probably wouldn't have had afforded the 3 hours to watch it. Hope that didn't offend you

I watch all the important ones that I can mate. Sometimes it's just not an option. And I also knew I'd get spoilers about Game 5 before I got home that evening.

Haha, firstly, no he hasn't been for the last few years, and secondly what's your point in regards to my statement? The reason people hate on KG is cause he plays "dirty", reason they hate Lebron is cause he's a massive douchebag

Come on Matt let's be honest. I don't even like LeBron that much, I only have to like him because he's on my team. But who could you say has been better than him?

IMO he has easily been by far the best player in the league for at least the last 3 seasons including this one.

I don't like Glen Davis that much, even though i go for boston.

The best player shouldn't be terrible with making decisions In the last minutes of a game. The best player should be able to hit a game winner & to not leave a team because he doesn't want the pressure on his shoulders. The best player shouldn't have to throw the ball to D Wade every 5 seconds. Like I said, Lebron Is probably the best Athlete In the league, but not the best player. Kobe Is a douche bag, but I'd still say he Is a better basketball player than Lebron.

What's there to not like about Big Baby ? He's that spark you need off the bench. Had a real rough child hood, seems like a real good guy to me. He's improved every season too.

1. He's not terrible with making decisions, his "clutch" performances have always been zoned in on because there are barely any other flaws in his game, and haters need to hate something. I bet you'd talk about some bad plays he made from ages ago, before you even acknowledged how clutch he was stepping up in the big moment and beating your team yesterday.

2. Same as the first point. Let's not remember the shot against Orlando, or the last 25 straight points he scored against Detroit in that pivotal game in 2007, etc etc. Every player has good and bad examples. People just zone in on LeBron's bad ones.

3. It's not that he didn't want the pressure on his shoulders. He left because there was a better chance to win in Miami, and Cleveland management wasn't giving him anyone to work with. There is NO other player that you could replace LeBron with from last season, and them win 66 games with the supporting cast he had. And going by your logic Shaq is rubbish too, his 3 rings in LA shouldn't matter because he left the Magic. Why didn't he win with them? Also ironic since you're a Boston fan and KG and Ray Ray left their teams as well.

4. He doesn't throw the ball to D-Wade every 5 seconds, that's a massive exaggeration and a silly statement.

Kobe is great but he hasn't been the best for a few years. When he had a mediocre team after Shaq left and before Pau arrived he did NOTHING compared to what LeBron did with his mediocre team. LeBron makes a bigger impact in more areas of the game than Kobe does, period. Kobe is a great closer and has the hunger and drive to be a winner, but he can only do it when he has a dominant team. He never went to the Finals the way LeBron did without a superstar...

And additionally, it's ironic that all the points you nail LeBron for, are the points that Garnett struggled with. Since he's gotten a ring everyones forgotten. But he wasn't clutch, matter of fact apart from that one season when they got to the WCF how many times did he even get his team out of the first round? And by the way... He left too. I guess he couldn't take the pressure...

Ouch - u know that ain't true - if anything he was so loyal to Minny he stayed there too long.

Nice!!!! (message too short) Very nice!

Jimbo I gotta tell you, and anyone else, that I couldn't be ****ed debating any point or counterpoint on KG any longer. You love the sound of typing too much as I said, you are a know it all, plus, you are never going to change your mind. I've made my point, you've made yours, you want Heat to Win, I want Boston so KG can get one more ring before retiring. From now on I can just make general statements on wins and losses and plays and players and games and not be bothered responding to 30 posts in a day. The End.

That's cool man. Didn't know it was annoying you that much, thought it was just some healthy debating. As long as it's nothing personal..

As for what you said about not changing my mind, you're dead on, and such is for any passionate fan (yourself included). As for what you said about me typing long things, dude it's an internet forum, that's what we're meant to do. Or do you want to set a word limit on how much people write? And lastly, I'm not a know it all, but like you said I just have a set view on things. If you don't want to have lengthy arguments that's fine. No need to be a jerk about it..

Yeah it annoys the hell outta me hence why I'm not bothering with replying to you regarding it anymore. And sorry to say yeah it is personal I don't like most of what you have to say and don't think we'd be real life friends. And if telling the truth makes me a jerk and you've never come across it before then oh well, I'm a jerk, I'm sure someone's broken up with you before and will again

are they showing game 5 on TV?

From One's Facebook page...

Will the Heat clinch the first spot in the Eastern Conference Finals? Miami host Boston LIVE on ONE tomorrow morning.... LeBron, D-Wade and Bosh's team lead 3-1 but KG, Rondo and Allen look to keep the Celtics alive.

NOTE start time is 9.00am AEST - this changed from 9.30am which may still appear in earlier printed Guides.

Set your recorder, take a sickie or catch the replay at Midnight tomorrow.

You also like the Cavs so thats not saying much :p

What are you trying to prove here?

Kobe 5 rings............ Lebron 0= Kobe >>>>>> Lebron

Lebron is a spoilt brat who has been gifted with all the talent in the world. Because of this he could win 10 rings and not be seen as great as Kobe. The day he left the Cavs is the day I lost respect for him. I used to think everyone gave him too much of a hard time whilst he was there but then he took the easy way out to join Miami. Now he will more than likely win a few rings, 2-3 in my opinion, but to the nba world they will always have that little astrix next to them. I mean seriously who is that far up themselves to have a tv show dedicated to which team they will be going to next. I still believe he is one of the most talented to ever take the court but in my opinion he will never be up there with the likes of Kobe, MJ, Shaq, Russell, Chamberlin etc.

LOL first person I've met who has actually said it's personal to someone just because they have different views on sports. Bit intense considering you know nothing about me, but don't worry I wouldn't want to be your friend. You're like twice my age.

And it's not the telling of the "truth" that makes you a jerk. It's the fact that you say I'm a "know it all" just because I disagree with what you say and openly provide arguments against it. I guess that makes you a know it all too. :)

Sorry to say it but that is the dumbest thing anyone can say.

Sam Jones 10 rings. Michael Jordan 6 = Sam Jones must be better.

No its not. Rings always come into the equation when you are talking GOAT.

Who is talking about greatest of all time? Rings have nothing to do with how good 1 player is. SO does 4 more rings make Same Jones better then Jordan?

I was talking about GOAT and James will always put up for discussion for it. Sam Jones has never been considered GOAT and never was the reason a team won a ring. Its really not that hard to understand

Well I was just talking about last few years, And if anyone thinks Kobe has been better then LeBron in the last 3 it blows my mind.
