been reading this thread for a while
i wont say that i'm either for or against lbj. but i think honestly he made the best decision to leave cleveland. he was there 7 years. had gotten to the finals in year 4. and saw the team that made it to that point slowly subside into phantoms of their former selves. KG was in minny for 12 years before jumping ship to the celts. if 7 years is not long enough and 12 is to long what is a sufficient amount of time to stick with a team thats not going anywhere fast
At least their 2 moves were brought on through desire to win a ring. would they of had a chance staying where they were honestly
If you condemn someone for a move why not one specifically based on money
Do people despise Carlos Boozer as much as lebron after he walked out on the cavs and signed with the jazz. maybe maybe not. noone ever gripes as he's no where near the player as lbj
or kenyon martin after he left the nets to join the nuggets after 2 straight finals appearances
or even the big diesel himself
Lebron 7 seasons with Cleveland
-- lost in the Finals once
-- lost in the East Finals once
-- lost in the East Semifinals three times
-- 2 time defending league MVP
-- No Championship
-- Left to join a team that won 47 games the season prior to his arrival
Shaq 4 seasons with Orlando
-- Lost in the Finals once
-- Lost in the East Finals once
-- Lost in the 1st Rd once
-- Swept three straight years
-- No Championship
-- Left to join a team that had won 53 games the season prior to his arrival
my conclusion
haters gonna hate

Sorry to say it but that is the dumbest thing anyone can say.
Sam Jones 10 rings. Michael Jordan 6 = Sam Jones must be better.
