The official Chicago Bulls team thread.

Bench did great tonghit. As suspected Brewer injured his wrist. the guy who replaced him R Butler not bad not bad 10pts haha.

And spurs lost so Bulls get home court come grand final

Here comes the noise!!!!! it's like watching a storm build all year....and the experts saying "oh it could hit...maybe, depends on other factors and if other storms get in the way blah blah" and then BANG!!!!!! its knocking on your door, ready to tear S#*T up....

One series at a time..... We have killed it all season but Playoffs are a new game! Teams will step up and break out of funks and so on, its up to The Bulls to keep going strong, keep the determination there and just get it done!!

GO BULLS!

yep, hopefully the Bulls will stay mentally strong in each series (fingers crossed). If the Bulls win this year it will be a miracle turn around and deservedly so.

Top 5 3point shooter in the game IMO. The Bulls have way to many good 3 shooters on the roster. Just not fair for the rest of us :)

I can never tell if you are serious or not. Im going to assume you arent. A real 3pt threat is all we need to be a dynasty. Kyle Korver and Butler are awesome, but we need someone thats good enough to start (ie. not Keith Bogans)

bogans is doing alright. he is their for defense only not scoring. we cant say he hasn't been effective since the Bulls are no1 keeping teams scores against them down.

I think Butler is a very good 3 point shooter, Not the greatest player in the world but has a killer 3.

maybe it's time to move Noah

I see we could go two ways - shooters or big guys to work with Rose

I see that Deng+Boozer+Rose have their 3 positions fairly locked down (Love or hate Boozer, we signed him and we will struggle to get any value for him in trade) - So that leaves C and SG positions.

It's fairly obvious that the whole world now knows what a star Rose is and teams will be looking to shut him down, they've all seen him try to carry the load in the Heat series and he really needs some options to work with.

Rip Hamilton could be an available option, I'm not that huge on us getting him though, he's at the end of his career and could be a gamble.
I'd love to see us try to get dwight, I think the combination with Rose would work well.

Current Depth chart
C - Noah/Kurt Thomas/Asik
PF - Boozer/Gibson/Scalabrine
SF - Deng/Rasual Butler
SG - Bogans/Brewer/Korver/Pargo
PG - Rose/CJ Watson/John Lucas

The only thing we could do is look at moving Deng. Trade value would be up after good playoffs.

not a bad analysis.

Although if we move deng who do we replace him with?

I think Bulls need Mayo to replace Bogans.

Gibson is better than Boozer, but at the same time who would want Boozer after these playoffs.

also if we can get howard that will be sweet.

Although I don't particularly like it, if we were able to trade him for enough of an upgrade at C/SG, maybe korver/brewer+rookie?

If we were to do a straight up trade for another SF - Granger, Josh Smith, Jeff Green???

What about trade like this -

Deng/Bogans for Kaman/Eric Gordon.

Kaman is stuck behind griffin/Jordan and Gordon is a good young scorer (Trade value might be too high after a 22ppg season)

We NEED to upgrade at the SG position, thats a fact! The only way I'd be interested in moving Noah or Deng would be in a way of getting Howard into the side. With Dwight at the 5 Rose at the 1 a decent 2 you could play Brewer or a RC at the 3 with no real drama. AS much as I hate Boozer for going missing like he does on occasions, Gibson is not at Boozers level yet. I don't see him maintain the Rebound ad Point numbers that Boozer can put up over the length of a game, he really is a energy/spark player of the bench that can contribute in moderate minutes... That could well change and he could grow into it but not at the moment!! If we went and got Kaman, we'd have to deal Noah surely!?
