Yer as much as I hate the look of Noah, he does play a role in the team.

Deng just come back from knee injury. Only sat of three games so I doubt he is fully recovered either.

They are a broken team atm.

"Vinny Del Negro's starting lineup will be Jannero Pargo, Flip Murray, Acie Law, Taj Gibson and Brad Miller. Rose and Deng (strained calf) join Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) and Kirk Hinrich (suspension) on the bench."

Yurk...

Another loss. But considering the injuries not a bad effort.

Only lost by 7 to the mavericks.

Acie Law Highest Scorer with 22 points haha. To think this guy wouldn't even get court time with the best players on.

This guy may turn otu to be a good player in the future for the Bulls (assuming they don't trade him again this year). Would make it fourth teams for him this year.

Finally a Win. 14points over the 76ers

Good to see Rose and Noah back in the game. Acie Law back on the bench lol.

Still with a chance to get back in the top 8.

Bulls get big win over Celtics behind Rose's career-high 39

CHICAGO (NBA.com exclusive) -- The Chicago Bulls took care of business Tuesday and have to do it all over again Wednesday in Charlotte.

Derrick Rose set a career high with 39 points and Kirk Hinrich got his season high of 30 points to lead the Bulls to a 101-93 victory over the Boston Celtics Tuesday, allowing them to stay one game ahead of the Toronto Raptors for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

But with the Raptors playing the New York Knicks on Wednesday and owning the tiebreaker advantage, the Bulls (40-41) figure to need a victory Wednesday to advance to the playoffs.

"We absolutely needed this one and we absolutely need that one tomorrow,'' Hinrich said.

"Nothing is accomplished other than the fact that we have an opportunity,'' Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said. "We have to find the energy to do it again."

Meanwhile, the Boston loss settled the top half of the Eastern Conference bracket as the Celtics (50-31) will be the No. 4 seed and Atlanta will have the No. 3 seed. Cleveland and Orlando own the top two spots.

"I would like a three, two or one (seed), but we didn't get it,'' Boston coach Doc Rivers said. "You knew if it came down to desperation, we were in trouble. I don't care how mentally tough you are, when you have one team fighting for their lives, you knew it would be tough."

Rose and Hinrich combined to make 26 of 42 shots from the field Tuesday for one of their best shooting nights of the season. They also had 12 assists and only three turnovers. The Bulls outrebounded the Celtics 49-40, pulled down 11 offensive boards and committed just eight turnovers in what was clearly a playoff-type game.

"We are in a good flow right now,'' Rose said. "We've got to keep it going."

"They really caught fire,'' Boston forward Paul Pierce said. "Those are the two leaders. They stepped up when it was needed."

Pierce scored 28 points, making 12 of 17 field-goal attempts, and Ray Allen scored 25 for the Celtics. After some serious thought about resting Kevin Garnett for the game, Celtics coach Doc Rivers played his All-Star forward 28 minutes, getting 14 points with nine rebounds from him.

"The silver lining for me was Paul,'' Rivers said. "That's two games in a row he was basically unguardable. Going into the playoffs, that is the best timing we could have."

Trailing by one point at the start of the fourth quarter, the Bulls scored the first six points of the period to go ahead 73-68, then never let the Celtics closer than three. Hinrich hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final 3:13 to keep the Celtics at bay.

"He was knocking almost every shot down,'' Rose said. "It was huge."

Rose was 6-for-6 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

"It wasn't me; it was my teammates, the crowd,'' Rose said.

The Bulls may have been playoff-tight at the start. They shot just 28 percent in the first quarter and went 2-for-7 from the free-throw line. Luckily for them, they trailed by just three points at the first break, 20-17, because Boston shot just 33 percent and allowed the Bulls to grab six offensive rebounds for six second-chance points.

The Celtics led 27-19 when the Bulls woke up. Rose scored a reverse dunk after grabbing the ball out of the air on the Boston end to pull the Bulls within two points, and when Hinrich made a pull-back jumper, the Bulls had the lead again, 31-29. Hinrich had two more quick baskets and when Rose made a jumper with 3:20 left in the half, they had completed an 18-2 run and had a 37-29 lead.

Pierce and Allen went to work in the third quarter, combining for 22 points and pushing the Celtics back in front. The Bulls were playing the quarter worrying about foul trouble for Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson.

Noah finished with 16 rebounds and nine points while Luol Deng had 12 rebounds while playing tough fourth-quarter defense on Pierce.

"We just wanted to play with passion,'' said Noah, whose passion is on display in most games. "I think it has been playoff games for us for a while. It's a good feeing to beat a quality team with everything on the line."

The Celtics finish their regular season against Milwaukee on Wednesday.

"We have everybody healthy going into the playoffs, which was the No. 1 goal going into the season,'' Pierce said.

watched the game online via TNT overtime. Was a cracker of a game. Rose and Hinrich were awesome. lets just hope we can knock off the bobcats tomorrow and not have to rely on toronto losing. Cavs v Bulls 1st round would be awesome!

haha yes it would.

I wonder if it would go for 7 games like against celtics last year.

Woo Bulls secure 8th spot after the disaster injury couple months they had.

On a side note:

Rose made DJ Augustin look like a Rookie haha.

Thank goodness I am back. Last to post months ago and the first to revive this thread.

This season hasn't been two bad so far.

Current 9-7 record, we should really be 11-5. Sacramento coach ****ed that game up and the Denver game with 0.4secs to go could of defended harder to stop that buzzer shot.

We start of slow but have come back to win a few games from behind at 3qtr time. We need to start strong in first have with a better shooting percentage.

ROSE HAS BEEN MVP PLAYER MATERIAL THIS YEAR.

Boozer is back in the team sadly they didn't gel well against Orlando and got whipped. Another coaching error. I would of left Boozer on the bench as he is just back form injury and bring him into the game slowly.

Next game is tomorrow v lakers @ home (I wish it was on ONE HD tomorrow). But no they will play a lakers v wizards game wed instead.

We played well against the lakers away so hopefully we can do one better at home.

My personal choice for starting line up

- Rose
- Noah
- Deng
- Taj Gobson (**** Bogans this guy can't shoot for **** I don't know why he started against orlando)
- Ronnie Brewer

Then sub in Boozer and CJ Watson Deng and Brewer/Gibson.

What are other peoples thoughts????

**** we played Celtics I mean.

And lost.

Garnett Kicked our ass.

They need to start gelling again with Boozer in the team.

Looks like we playing Huston tonight at home.

We better win.

D Rose has been great this season. However I still think Bulls need to learn to hold those leads. They were cutting it to fine haha. Boozer is starting to play well again. Like he never broke his wrist.

I still think Bogans needs to stay off and have Taj Gibson starting. SInce Boozer has been back Gibson hasn't done anything for the team. Coach needs to show faith in him again and let him start then he will perform.

Well it was a sweet victory by the Bulls today against OKC.

99-90. Could of been a better score if Coach didn't give the bench a run for most of the last quarter lol.

STAT: 11 wins - 8 losses.
