Hahaha your not wrong mate i can feel a bummy team again. Any idea what the draft order is Benny? Has he got it up anywhere?

*edit* Ignore that last bit just saw the draft order in his thread. I've got number 3!!!!!!! Now who to pick?

He's got it up on the 2k page, you're #3 overall :D

And to make matters worse for me, I was 8th last time and had a slim chance of getting the guy I wanted to build around...and this time I'm 11th which means the guy I want almost definitely won't be there...ah the pain!

At least when you're near the start or end of the draft you can pre-rank pretty effectively, but in the middle? It's anyones guess!

Yeah just seen that, looks like me and Wiz's positions pretty much swapped around i was 30 last time :D

Now do i pick Wade/Durant or Melo? Such a hard decision

For your style and knowledge of the players, I'd be going Durant. Melo is nice, but definitely not a quick release like Durant, and not as good from range either. Wade, I don't know much about...that could be tough to look past though. For me, I think I'd actually HATE to have the top pick :lol: simply cause I know I'd pretty much have a Wade or someone going to waste...

I was going to pick Durant at #3 but in saying that I had Wade in OCT S2 & he is an absolute gun.

This is my dilemma, i would love to grab Durant (I have Melo in OCT S3 and he just isn't Durant, im finding it hard to find his shot) but can i pass up a 95+ rated pick? Atleast if i can't use them i have them as a bargaining chip later on if the need arises for a trade. Im sure i could work with Kobe or Wade but we'll see.

Good point...you could draft Wade and then trade him for Durant maybe? In the process upgrading a position you're weaker in too. I think the other day I did too much drafting for need/desire...rather than drafting high rated players that I could use, or move. Left me with a lower rated team overall, but a bunch of guys I'm finding it hard to even make trade offers with cause I'm pretty happy!

I've had in OCT S2 Wade & Bryant. They are both great players & can win ya games by themselves. In OCT S3 I might look at trading ya Bosh 4 Melo if things don't improve for me. I don't know if I will but I need a slashing player.

Yeah I did the exact same thing with the OCT S3 draft. I got lower ranked guys so I wouldn't risk missing out on getting them, when I could have went to rating & then traded.

i say give Mattbowen a go he's been pretty active in Zelmeisters league and has been getting better with the responding of PM's. Maybe just give him the straight up rules, if he wants in he has to be active and respond to people if not he's gone. He's a good kid and plays a good game so i'd much rather him in the league than another swish

yeh mattbowen has had some probs on here b4 i think not 2 sure what? , but in my league he seems to be pretty fair player and pretty active as well, i reckon give him a crack ,but i would clearly state the rules to him as he wont have a leg to stand on, if he messes up gain....

Yeah the only issue was him not replying to messages and not playing games but looks like he's changed his ways lately.

Don't think i'd be interested in Bosh, Melo is the closest thing i've found to Durant so i'd only trade him for KD if anyone or possibly LBJ but i havn't played with him much.

Hey, do you guys (Nick, Nicko, Ben, Michael, Zel etc) normally go with your best player, or your guy who has had the best game when the game is on the line for the final shot?

I wasn't sure who I should go with. Joe Johnson is my guy and hit a buzzer-beater against Ranga yesterday but today he was only 5/14 from the field. I decided to go with him anyway but yeah... bring on 5/15 :lol:

Bit of a dilemma for me. In S1 I always went with Iggy even though he never delivered with the last shot, in S2 Rudy who most of the time delivered.

BTW Nick man 40 fastbreak points for me. That's ridiculous! Talk about fast-paced game with you, my bench really kept me in it. But I don't mind conceding a game to you since I started out so badly in the 1st (down by 12 at break) and you are one of the best players in the league.

Also guys - versed Vikkitt earlier, he's up to the same old tricks.

Remember in S2 with his whole "Rose cheesing" and then when I got up by 18 he said his sister kicked out the cord.

Well it's no different now except it's Billups instead of Rose, and it was neck-and-neck all game. I got ahead in the 4th opened up like a 15 point lead, he got it back to about 8 on sloppy turnovers from me with 2 minutes to go. I drove to the basket with JJ got free throws to push it to 10 and then he "magically" disconnected. Very reminiscent of S2.

Anyway I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but the "D" is clearly on his side, and during the game we had no connection issues or lag at all. Considering he had won like 6 in a row coming into verse me I guess he just didn't want to get beaten.

No re-set needed for that game mods, let it stand.

I dropped my first game of the season to vikkitt in overtime. He loves the run around in circles to try get an open drive. Sometimes if i'm trying to drive and realise that it has been a bit of an unrealistic move around a couple of players i find myself at the ring and then i just pass it back out for the reset because it feels like it's going to be a bit of a cheap basket that wasn't really deserved.

My team is so very very different this season without an inside threat. Looks like it's going to be live and die by the outside shooting for me which will be something different :)

Yeah. Initially I was trying to trade for Rudy Gay, Dalembert and some of the players I am familiar with.

However now I've decided I'm not too fussed playing with these new guys. It's a bit more fun that way, instead of the same old guys every game.

Yeah a few times against Vivo I would do a crossover and find myself at the ring, then stop and dribble back out because it was too easy to get in there.

jimbo depends if i need a 3 or not as well, but yeh most times go with the star unless u got a mike miller or some1 thats full of shooting BS....lol

HOLY MOLY!

Verse just beat Vivo, not that that's a big deal - but Mike Miller with 58 points!

And I'm going to assume on a hell load of 3's! The site isn't letting me see the Box Scores of Team Stats yet but on the home page it has the record which is now 17!

With 20 for the game from the team, meaning that's 60 points in the game just off triple's.

Farout Nick.. You are SUCH A 3 CHEESER ;)

Yeah I went with Joe since he hit the buzzer-beater in an earlier game. Ah well, still got 34 games to go. Don't plan on losing too many!
