Potential New Melbourne Card Shop!

There are not many trading card shops in Melbourne that stock many sports that interest us like Basketball, Hockey, Football (NFL), Baseball, etc, let alone stock them at good prices so we were interested in finding out how many people there are in Melbourne that would be interested in seeing a new card store open (just like awesome ones in the US) - run by card collectors, for card collectors (just like we had in AUS 10 years ago)!

The store will obviously sell many types of different cards (sports, gaming, etc) as well as trading card accessories (boxes, protective casings, pages, albums, etc) and provide a place for card collectors to trade with others as well as buy and sell singles, decks, sets, etc as not many stores in Melbourne current do this.

IF YOU ARE AS SICK AS US NOT HAVING A DECENT CARD STORE IN MELBOURNE AND ARE INTERESTED IN A NEW STORE PLEASE LET US KNOW AND LEAVE YOUR FEEDBACK (include what sport or gaming cards you're into also it gives us a good idea), IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED (If the interest is there we might open a shop ).

Yeah if we start up the store it will be based in Melbourne, but we'll put up an online store most probably to cater for interstate orders (and believe me I'm stick of insane prices too so prices will always be good!).

If the idea gets off the ground (and thanks to the support we've seen so far) it could happen, at first out of a garage in Melbourne western suburbs and an online store will be created to serve a bigger customer base (interstate customers also). Then if we still continue to see keen interest in the store and growth, a shop front will follow.

we need a card shop that will be done properly though, not a half assed one or one that will be open at the leaisure of the owners even though the times are up on the door

they were once very very good in melb where we could all go to check out new stuff, trade, buy new product and just a cool place to talk about the hobby and the nba in general

It would be great to have a good card shop in melb and it would be awesome to have a source for UFC cards too, Especially individual packs cos boxes just arent financially viable all the time.

Yep get this thing going Melbourne (and Australia) needs a good card shop!

Overheads are a killer for a trading card business, especially for prime CBD locations. You're almost better doing a permanent online business and set up a temporary stall at the markets during the weekends to sell boxes, singles and supplies.
