NBA 2K10 Release set for 9th October in Australia!

Finished the first season with the Spurs, we got beat in 1st Round V Hornets.
I had 3 choices after the season, stay with Spurs, take the Grizzlies or someone else, who I can't remember, I think it was Utah, but not sure.
I'm a defensive PF, so I took the Griz as my next home.
Still havent seen a 10-day contract yet...

Have no idea mate, I read originally we were to receive 10-dayers when in the D-League from an NBA squad, but I've yet to see one.
I received the "some teams are interested in you" message after about 20 D-League games, but only had 1 option (actually it wasnt an option) I just ended up with the Spurs... lol.
Great for a PF looking for minutes behind Duncan ha ha ha.
Actually I saw decent minutes, 6'9" PF, they played me at PF, C, SF & even SG!!! As a defensive specialist, I found myself defending some of the better guys around the league. Lebron was hard, but not the hardest. I think my hardest was KG or Dave West.
KG would easily throw it down on me, and West would take mid-range jumpers before I knew he was going to shoot, lol.

Thats pretty sick, im 70 odd games in with the clippers and im a SG and have now edged out Eric Gordon every game for the start and we are 3rd in the conference so hopefully looking to go deep in the playoffs! How'd you do your sig like that aswell?
The 10 dayers and contract lengths was one of the glitches in the game that will be fixed up with the new patch. The insider should make it clear as to your contract situation with the new patch.

Hmm, just found out that the height of your player affects the Skill points you receive. So if i'm a 6"8 PF and got for 10-10 i'll receive more SP than if i'm a 6"11 PF going 10-10. Makes perfect sense i just didn't know they had factored it into the game...makes me feel a bit better about being a short ass now

They state that at the start as you select your height!
"My Player" sounds like a great game mode. I'm too much into my Bulls association to begin a My Player mode right at this time, but will soon.
I might wait til the patch comes out to start it as apparently it has some glitches. Association mode does too, like the schedule, stats etc they show in-game will remain on screen for a minute or more at times, but with that there is an option to turn off all that in-game stuff.
I'm into january in my first association season and only Rose (81), Salmons and Tyrus (70) have moved up in ratings, is that normal? To move up that slowly two months into the season. I have a winning record and 52-54% team chemistry so that isnt contributing to it moving slowly, I wouldnt think. With weekly practice I always choose one player to practice on each off-day and then choose another the next off-day, should I choose "None" so the whole team practices? Dont know if that would make a difference anyway or if team chemistry would be the big factor (so once it hits 70% for example i'll see a big difference in each of my players ratings), or maybe it just moves really slowly and that is how it is.

Beat the Hornets in 5 games in the 1st round though so not too bad seeing im playin wid the clippers
Alright I think I've found a bloody annoying glitch...I finish the summer circuit having played out of my skin in My Player with an A+ team rating and such, and get told the team I was playing with doesn't want to keep me, then I choose another team and I end up being with the team I was with! This isn't an issue, until I get through training camp and suddenly I'm supposedly playing for 2 teams...the team I am actually playing for with good minutes, and the other team where I'm a 2min a game player...ANNOYING!

I know what you are saying had the same problem here, however on the Xbox all you needed to do was quit the game at the team selection screen and then restart the game. You were then on the team that originally drafted you with no clone. There is a patch about to be released for PS3 (came out friday night for xbox) that will fix "all" the issues in the game. Also check out the forums at 2ksports, there is a lot of info there to help out with ways around the glitches and improving your my player.
What type of player you got? I have about 4 but have just started a 7foot center. Got drafted by the Thunder at 1 round pick 25, my highest yet. Killing it in summer league.
Cheers mate. Might have to then re-do the summer circuit cause I think it auto saved after I picked my team...but good to know I can get round it!

So I'm a 6'10 PF. My other was me +5 inches at SG...and I was stuck on 2 teams there too so started this 1 to find out the same issue!

CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT?
I am half way through my second season in MyPlayer mode and I am playing in the rookie sophomore game and at half time the game just shuts down and kicks me back to windows. This has happened 3 times now. I havnt had any problems like this till now and I havnt downloaded any updates or anything that would cause this problem.
Anyone know when the PC patch for 2k10 is due out and can you just download it from the 2k website?

6'2" Scoring Point Guard from Duke University.
Got cut from my summer circuit team (Golden State) despite being on the back of my best game yet with a B+ rating, 8 points, 8 assists and achieving all 3 objectives.
Now I'm in the D-League and have played 3 games, first 2 pretty poorly. I'm rated 40. I wonder how long it'll take me to get to the NBA!
