Kimmy=Durian Shows off his collection

I have mixed feelings about this video, sure its impressive to have so many beautiful and expensive cards in one collection, but could you really appreciate them all if they came to you that easily?

I mean how many people here would have to save for months at a time just to buy one of the cheaper cards seen in the video? Its hard to compete with someone who is happy to pay almost anything to score these types of cards.

I also think of the player collectors out there like Slobby who would kill to have one of Kimmy's Pippen Logomen in his collection yet I get the feeling it would just be another card to him?

I might be completely wrong but either way its still an impressive collection.

Cheers
Matt

Good point!

I wonder if the guy actually LOOKS at some of his cards for more than 10 minutes a month.
If I had one of those, I'd be looking at it every 10 minutes! lol.

Anywayz, I glad that I don't see a Mike Conley in there up to the 7:40 mark.
(Now if only my computer would allow me to watch the remaining 2 minutes or so some time soon)

that is the most amazing hobby based vid ive ever seen... an absolutely phenomenal collection... without question the best on the planet. its good to see these cards actually exist and see them in the flesh. the neck emblem patches are my favorite of the lot!!

it staggers me though how durian has been able to find them in the first place to bid on them... bidding on them and buying up big would be the easy bit (especially if he's loaded) but sourcing them would be the bigger challenge i would have thought

but i can see now why slobby hates him soooooooooooo passionately...

btw luke walton has a triple logoman??? like, wtf??

wel finally got home to watch this vid.

no chance in hell he buys all those from box breaks. I bet he bribes UD for all these 1/1s. It be very hard to find all these 1/1s buy just shopping on normal channels.

With a reputation like Durian has he wouldn't have to worry about how to source these cards - people would be contacting him all day long with their rare pulls to offer them his way - and why not? He is the one with the cash to buy them! If you wanted to move an ultra high-end card he is almost certain to pay whatever it takes to get it into his collection.

The hard part for him would be sorting through the 2000 "will you buy this card off me" emails he would get each day.

I understand people being jealous and upset that he has so many good cards but I think it is unfair to judge him - after all he loves cards like the rest of us - he just operates on a totally different level.

And I think it is great that he shares what cards he has - how would it help the hobby if he bought them and they were never seen ever again? The pics may be a tease to us all but hey, if there are damn rare high-end cards out there I for one love to see them.

When card companies make 1 of 1s it is always going to put plenty of collectors' noses out of joint. So long as he doesn't burn them all once he has had enough of them I can't really see the problem???

off topic, but man I remember that warney hat trick card back in the day. very nice mate.

guys wait till Tim (ExquisiteCollector) of HK shows off his entire collection, he may not have the logomans like durians owned, but the complete exquisite sets, almost compete number pieces set (just missing the 1/1 t-mac number pieces) all the 23/xx 04-05 exquisites of lebron, man that is insane.

I must admit Tim (exquisiteCollector) Kimmy (durian) Bryan (attyball23) is in the top 10 of the world class collector ever, as in over the limit collection ever.

here is Tim's (EC) website, just check it out.

Welcome to Exquisitecollector.com!

Thanks Cobretti - I am glad the Warne sig is a 1/150......if it was a 1 of 1 it would probably be in Durian's collection and I'd hate him like everyone else!!

:) Nice collection.

Did Nash play for the Cavs at all? ;)

i don't persoanlly hate him in that way, I hate the fact that he probably gets it in the mail opens the packet and just puts it on top of the pile, without admiring the card for a few hours. Since to him it would be just "another 1/1" card

Umm...WTF Cobretti? Seriously? I've seen most of these cards on eBay and a lot of the dual logomans were from Gerald's collection. Bribe UD for 1/1s? WTF? Seriously?

To add on to what alf said, there's a button on your keyboard that says "prt sc" or "print screen". Hold Alt+prt sc and it copies the screenshot (you can't tell because it's copied), you then open paint or similar and press 'paste' and save the file.

Well said, and exactly what I would have written. One of the only posts that make any sense in this thread.
