premiership results

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

it would be a tough decision. What about Stokes though, at the start of the match he was in the rooms, with full training gear on, helping the boys warm up and encouraging them. The poor bloke tried to keep a straight face but he looked like he was about to cry. Tough nut, Matthew Stokes you star

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

Cats may of still won, but all of this talk about that controversal stupid umpire decision would not have been talken about.
And geelong deserved to win from the start?
Im sure most happy cats fans would agree with me that saints played better then the cats for more of the game, just didnt take our oppotunities.

Saints fans are the only ones bringing up the poster.

And the Saints didn't play better, if they had have played better they would have kicked those goals.
Lack of wet weather experience hurt their goal-kicking.

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

I hope milne doesnt go he may not play his best in the finals but it kicked 50+ goals for the season i think which is a lot for a small forward.

1 option apparently being looked at is your guys picking up Nathan Brown...could be interesting.

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

i cant stand nathan brown and his homosexual clothing brand, after his broken leg he has done $hit all except being on the footy show every week.

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

true dat. but if it was a point saints would have got the ball and perhaps been able to score?

geelong got the momentum and scored a goal straight away from the center break. I dont wanna whinge about the umps  because i cant change anything but ablett got a free kick in the 2nd quarter, soft as just like the man himself and then with 10 mins left in the last quarter enright i think it was dived and grabbed schneider and pulled him to the ground while he was about to run in and hopefully kick a goal. A bit of luck and who knows that 43 year drought may have been broken but well done cats you have deserved it for 3 years and taylor shouldve won the norm smith.

I'm sorry but as soon as you said Ablett was soft you lost all credibility and all I saw for the rest of it was *Wah wah wah*

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

hahaha, basically what i mean is he is a great player but i see him as a individual player and he just goes for the frees, throwing his arms back

Individual player at times, but I have never seen him go for a free. Yeah that Schneider free was there, and the post thing was bad, but EVERYTHING else went St. Kilda's way. It was quite comical in fact some of what was being called Saints way and not for the Cats.

the shneider free was there, BUT, and I cant speak for the umpires, shneider didn't do himself any favours by diving quite a few times in the first half, and i'm guessing getting in the umpires face and giving them that sarcastic clap probably didnt help his cause (last week i think it was)! they do have memories....

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

ok boys. its in the past now. dimmy449 even if that tom hawkins goal wasnt paid i dont think it would have made a difference

to be honest

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

I don't really wanna hear any St Kilda supporters whining as the team seemed to be more intent on injuring Geelong than winning the game. Like Gardiner trying to corky Ottens and the ump tells him off, then again the ump warns him when they're wrestling on the ground, reports of Baker throwing knees in Stevie J's hip and trust me a lot more!

Both were doing it mate. Chappy in the 3rd threw a roundhouse at McQualter off the ball (don't think any cameras saw it, but I was at the game), and only half connected and actually dislocated his finger it looked like cause he was fiddling around with his hand for the next few minutes. There was niggle, but that's always to be expected.

Re: premiership results *spoilers*

im a hawks supporter and god dam i really wanted the saints to win for my dad who has never seen them win a grand final and has supported them his whole life. i dont like geelong at all and was so p*ssed off at games end. but fact is, both teams played an awesome brand of wet weather footy and in the end it was geelongs experience and cool heads which won them the game, st kilda could have been 4 or even 5 goals up at half time but couldnt finish off under pressure. geelong just kept chipping away like all good sides do.
did geelong win the game or did st kilda lose it??? who knows but now its all done and dusted it doesnt really matter. :)

thats what i think anyway
