The Official LA LAKERS thread!!

I was only poking, since yesterday how you said you knew the Cavs would win it, before the shot from LBJ...

But on topic, yeah you can be top dog, but on the day someone can always have your number.

Every game we play against Orlando is "hoping to win". Its very obvious that they got our numbers as shown in the first 2 games... If we can remember how the top seed Mavs lost to the 8th seed GSW a couple of years ago, I believed that you will understand what I mean.

We are favourites going into this series but I gotta accept the reality that Orlando has a better chance of winning because of the players they have...

Our only way of winning this seires is if Orlando loose focus specially their coach who likes to say things that he should probably kept it to himself... ;)

PS: Sorry, I didnt mean to post this here...

No problems man. ;)

I'm happy with that win! Our defense stepped up tonight, if they could carry that on game by game we're a definite contender for June. A little suprised we got it done, 6 Nuggets in double figures and we got little from our bench but that's a road playoff game for you. Got it done in the fourth quarter and Mr. 4th Quarter was teaching game closing 101 while Melo and K-Mart were wondering where all those fouls came from. Ariza was huge as he has been all series and they went to Pau alot down the stretch rather than forget all about him. =D>

Who says we can't win in Denver?

Get use to it - our chances of taking a 3-1 lead coming home just became a reality.

I know you are...:) I have to say that we will win that game because its very obvious that if we dont, we will finding ourselves in a 0-2 hole.

Just got home and saw the results, good to see the Lakers get HCA back! Big one from Kobe also! Dreadful shooting by Denver.

wow today was a classic kobe bryant "im not gonna let my team lose this thing and im gonna will us to victory cause i want it soooo bad" kinda playoff performance... well done kb24

i think he thought long and hard about lebrons exploits yesterday and thought to himself... "im the best player in this league, watch and see why"... especially you jerry west lol

Yeah your right mate he hit some HUGE shots in the 4TH!!!Or as i like to call the 4TH QTR KOBE TIME!!!
HE had a real look of determination on his face today, being down most of the game was a HUGE win for us today...

As OZ pointed out earlier the REF'S in this series have been F*&KIN S(^TFULL!!!
Jones should have had a flagrant foul after pushing Kobe in the back....Keyon Martin and Fisher's should have been a Double T!!
And a when Anthony Carter pushed The MAchine to the ground that should have been a T either an their have been a bunch of other dumb ass calls!!!

I was getting abit worried when with about 3MIN to go in the 3RD Ariza wen to the locker room..But he came back in the 4TH and was HUGE once again with a big trey and a steal to foul out Melo.....

It was just a matter of time before we saw Melo come back down to earth....He just isnt at that level yet, he will get there with a few more years under his belt!!

The nuggets were too soft at home I thought they would of put in a better effort, someone should of step up, Melo can't do all the high scoring.

fouls and the fact the 3 ball just wasn't falling for them tonight!!

i dunno if they were open looks or not, but yeah!!

Lakers missed 14 FT's as a team and we still let them get away with the win!!

Maybe we need to practice our inbounds passes  haha

Crowd would want to be lively because this is their season on the line. They lose this and that Denver crowd doesn't see this team until the next pre-season. ;)

I hope we get 7 games outta this series, will be hard to see it happening, but it will come down to today!

lol we'll talk about it after the game

what are the nuggs thinking, using billups to gaurd kobe?

They're taking the Bulls lead of having everyone taking a shot at it and keeping him guessing. Ain't gonna work though, and on that not he hit a buzzer beater on K-Mart... Jones, Smith, Carter, Melo, Billups, K-Mart; All have had a shot throughout the series. For the most part I'd try and stick Melo on him if I were coach Karl but then he's worn out and they need him productive on the offensive end.

they dont want birdman and jr to start getting confident....

It's all good. Nuggets are known to go flat in the third when they ride too much energy early on in the game. Crowd will be silenced before too long. Still, this 11 point lead could get dangerous and we're making some stupid mistakes right now. Hopefully they can settle it down and take the crowd out of it with a few nice plays.

We have 7 straight playoff games won in the Pepsi center, let's make it 8! :D
