The Official LA LAKERS thread!!

WOW.... Didnt see this coming after the way the game started!

Billups was big in crunch time. But the Lakers threw it away with missed opportunities.

Havent seen the game, so don't know anything about the officiating.

Lakers lose HCA, this could be big going back to Denver for 2.

good game but i dont know how the refs missed some big calls. Namely the 2 calls involving the jump ball. JR running thru the jump circle to stop kobes run and ariza getting either tripped or pushed down.

Very hard game for the player to play today as the refs called everything early but them let them play at the end.

I really have no idea why Phil didnt have Bynum in more in the second half tho, we were killing them on the off boards but in the second half they hit back as be went to a smaller line up.

Will be interesting to see if the Nugs have the legs to run the series out tho with Melo and especially Billups playing so many minutes. I think LA really needs to play J Farm and Brown at the point more and use their speed and driving ability as i really havent seen fish do to much to keep his minutes up except for the experience.

Bring on the Pepsi centre i say, i think the lakers can pull it back if Gasol and Odom turn up on the offensive end. Gasol and Odom have basically been living off second chance put backs.

Un - ****ing - Believable. That's all I have to say.

Oh give it a rest laker boys..... you're making it sound like the refs didn't miss giving the nugs calls when they obviously shoulda got them too...... namely the push by Gasol to grab a rebound which turned into a 3-pt play for the lakers on the fast break.

lmao  was waiting for that!

Well your right we shouldn't be using those excuses for the loss just our piss poor execution during the last 29SECS of the game it should never have gotten to that situation....

But in saying that Denver were un lucky to lose in GM 1....

But lets see if we can execute ALOT better down the stretch and we shouldnt have a problem taking GM3 and GM4 in Denver!!

Hey I'm not talking about the calls the whole game, you want to go into that there was a push they missed where Gasol ended up on the floor aswell, who cares, I'm talking about something that was pretty blatant and non-foul related. How they missed that is beyond me. A Chimp would have called it.

Just like in the Bulls/Celtics series when they didn't call some pretty obvious ones.

That's the nature of the game, nobody is out to get the Lakers - hopefully they bounce back. (actually not hopefully cause I'm going for the Nuggs) :)

Doing the rounds Jim?

I never said anyone's out to get the Lakers mate, not sure why you quoted me with no comment on what I was talking about. What I'm talking about was as obvious as Marv Alberts toupee. I'm talking bad officiating, not calling a conspiracy.

I dont really care about bad calls in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd qtrs but bad calls with under a minute left that can decide a game thats when i have a problem with the bad 1's.

Every team gets them but thats a hard 1 to take as its in the playoffs and makes us loss HCA.

Not to worry to much tho cos as well as melo has played this series (36.5 ppg) i dont think he can keep it up. I predict that the laker will take atleast 1 of the next 2.

I here ya Andrew!!!i know its hard to take them!!!I bet the Mavs are still spewing bout the misses call on Melo in Game 3 or 4??

But sometimes it happens that way!!!

I still think that we can take this series in 6!!!!

Ariza has come up big so far playing very well!!!Defensivly and Offensivly!!

What makes it missed place??

I am Confident any team that has THE BEST player on it is always a GREAT chance!!!!

But it could have been so easliy 2-0 or even 0-2!!!
You take your chances and clearly the Lakers didnt in GM 2 and they did in GM1...

Confidence, reality... same thing in this situation. ;)

The reality is we are still the best team in the West, standings wise and the fact that we are the current Western Conference Champs until someone else takes that title.

We definitely have a good chance at taking a game in Denver. Let's hope it's game 3 and then the pressure is on, we'll be more confident and have a greater chance of taking game 4. If this could end our way in 5 that would be just fine with me.

For now, just get a dub tomorrow!

That is the Fact mate!!!!Would have much rather gone into Denver with a 2-0 Lead but thats not the case!!!

Yeah lets hope we get GM3 would give a great lot of confidence going into GM4....

How bout they play some D!!!We cant give streaky shooters like Kliza and JR confidence on their homecourt!!!You would have thought after 82 Regualr season games and 14 Playoff games we would have learned how to defend the 3Piont line???

Flagrant on Jones, not called. Double Tech on Fish and Martin, only Fish called. Getting really tired of this crap. And yeah it's happening in every series, it happens to all teams, I'm not saying it doesn't...

Alf, not a good sign when you're "hoping" for a victory, what happend to "knowing" they'd win?? :D

Every game we play against Orlando is "hoping to win". Its very obvious that they got our numbers as shown in the first 2 games... If we can remember how the top seed Mavs lost to the 8th seed GSW a couple of years ago, I believed that you will understand what I mean.

We are favourites going into this series but I gotta accept the reality that Orlando has a better chance of winning because of the players they have...

Our only way of winning this seires is if Orlando loose focus specially their coach who likes to say things that he should probably kept it to himself... ;)

PS: Sorry, I didnt mean to post this here...
