Just heard Yao Ming has a small hairline fracture in his left foot and is out for the rest of the playoffs. Not saying it's over but it doesn't look good for Houston and missing T-Mac already I can't help but feel bad for the Rockets fans...
It's safe to say it's over mate.
How the Rockets can beat the Lakers when their best frontline player right now is Scola and the Lakers have Bynum, Gasol and Odom really puts that out in the open.
Definetly safe to say it's over! Who the hell is gonna match up on Bynum/Odom/Pau???
Yeah I know I pointed out those match up threats in the other thread when mentioned, but I didn't want to outright gloat in here about it being over when technically it isn't.
Lakers still have a job to do and that's win 2 more games, 1 in Houston at the very least. Plus it's bad enough for Rockets fans without having one of us Laker fans rubbing salt in the wounds...
So there is absoloutely no way the Rockets can sign another big man?
I don't think there's any signings/dealings after the deadline. Pretty sure that's how it works. Can they activate and do they have anyone they could activate? - that's another question and I'm not too sure.
I was something something along the lines of the eric snow situation with the cavs....
What happened with Eric Snow? Was that when the Spurs swept them? Didn't see it, I don't watch Spurs games...
Looks like the Rockets got some motivation from the Yao Ming injury...
They just have more fire to win game 4! And perhaps the Lakers got a little over confidence...
Checking the boxscores, looks like hayes started at c, brooks stood up with 34 points and kobe struggled with 15 points, 7 from 17.
Yeah, Brooks really did most damaged.
looking at the highlights, lowry played a good game also and bynum had a quiet one...
Bynum, has yet to show up at all in this series. I think he has more fouls then rebounds,
There is your answer to your Front court question Jimbo,
smallball, with stocky front court players, That are terrific defenders.
That's why the rockets are still in this series, because Defence wins championships!!! Name a team that won in the last 15 years that didn't.
This is the reason the media label LA soft all the time, (which is strange when you have a great defender like Kobe on your team and the team isn't that strong at D).
If the rockets keep up the D, and stay loose we could win another game in LA, if the pressure is on...(well I'm allowed to dream)
Glad this series is at least going 6 games as it deserved nothing less.
Had a look at the Gasol/Artest , not that much in it, as the was a lot of momentum from a 7fter and a bump from battier down low and then Artest with a pretty standard foul from above (a lot of ball too). Don't think it warranted an ejection, but a FF1 is a correct call in my option. Glad they got the right call and he was able to play game 4.
On a side note-
Man how dirty must the Mavs be on the Refs right now!!! ouch!!!
