I had a near miss last week, so i'm going to try another AFL Multi-bet this week. Here is my bet;

Locky If you backed Johnny u prolly got most of your money back like I did but WOW, is all I can say I've been punting professionally for 17 years and I have never seen a jockey get caught napping and make as big a mistake as S.Murphy did on Johnny on Saturday..... should have won with a leg in the air.
What happened locky was he lead on his ear, controlled the race in front and was going beautifully......then the field took off 850m out (about 100m earlier than they usually do at the Valley) and murphy didn't look over his shoulder (wasn't paying attention)...by the time he realized what he had done 9 of the 12 horses had passed him lol, he clicked him up again and he went back past all but 2 of them to run 3rd.....it was criminal to watch....and especially from a great little jockey like Sebastian Murphy....one of the first mistakes I have ever seen the kid make.
I'll have some good mail for Saturday keep ya eyes peeled..... I think the Grand Old grey mare Sensational Toy is in over 1100m but haven't seen the entries yet but will let you know.

Had a nice little week on the NRL this week. Had $30 on the head and giving up the start on the Broncs, and done the same with the Warriors over the Storm (but the Warriors actually GOT a good start, so for the week I'm up a fair bit. Was going to put $20 on St George too, but couldn't go past the big odds the Warriors presented and could only get on one of the two. But I had a pretty ordinary week last week, so while still up, it balances out a bit worse after that. Also got $100 on the Broncos to win the premiership, and $50 on the Roosters. Storm are probably a safer option, but the odds suck, don't they? Also got $20 on Samoa to win the RL World Cup at $151, for my hail mary... lol!

Another 3-legged Quaddie for me, yeah the 2% was a rather conservative bet, although 2% of 100 Grand would be a good return, but i really need a couple of outsiders to win to get that sort of a result. The Hussler flopped, he found nothing, Littorio was well in at the weights. Thanks for the Rockpecker tip, i put $20.00 on the nose in the get out stakes, it was looking good until he got nosed out on line, he was paying $5.30 the win so it would have been a good return.
