Latest Movie/DVD you've seen, and what would you rate it...

Anyone seen the trailer for Max Payne?

Max Payne - In Theaters Oct 17

Not sure having Marky Mark as Payne is a good idea. In the game he always had that hardened, rustled voice, but Wahlberg has that "boy" voice in him, and just doesnt pull it off.

BUT... having the oh so yummy Mila Kunis (That 70s Show) makes up for it. :P

Oh, and Luda's in it too!

Looking forward to this, big fan of the games but can't say I was impressed when I heard Mark Wahlberg was leading either. I always imagined Max Payne could have been played by Keifer Sutherland, but only because it sounded like Keifer in the first one.

Wahlbergs not a bad actor though so hopefully it's still pretty good, but for some reason hearing Ludacris and Mila Kunis' names, it's starting to sound B Grade, regaurdless of whether Luda can rap and if Mila is hot! ;)

The trailer still looks great so let's hope I'm wrong.

I must be the in the minority of people who thought the Dark Knight was good but not great. Heath was definitely awesome, and his dialogue from the screenplay was excellent but somehow the movie was somewhat a let down after all the hype. I found Iron-Man just as entertaining as the Dark Knight. Overall, I give it a 7.2.

Went and saw the X-Files Sunday night.....AND

WELL , i thought it was very very average to be honest.......Used to watch the TV Show and really nothing to do with anything X-Filesy.....

1/10...

step brother, had some funny jokes but not really my type of movie. I only went because I had a free pass and it was a cinetopia theatre which the ticket was valued at $15.00 so I was like "screw it a free movie" and I went. 1.5/5

Really? I'm looking forward to this one because it's Will Ferrell but I admit the trailer does look a little lame. Free tickets are always good

like I said not really my type of movie but since I had free tickets. I am more into horror and action, people that like comedy will most likely, like this film just not really my genre.

For anyone who likes Martail arts movies I bought a great movie called Musa anyone interested in those movies should check it out.

as ive picked up a nasty cold over the weekend, i spent the last few days catching up on some dvds:

Dark Knight: 7/10, pretty overrated (as usual), the hype machine still works wonders i see. it was good but not the best film of all time as many seem to regard it.

36 Chambers of Shaolin: 8/10, the grand daddy of the martial arts movie, it set the tone for hundreds of kung fu movies for years after. gordon liu is so cool in this movie, the cinematography is great and the martial arts are amazing for its time. a must own for any kung fu fan.

Hot Fuzz: 8/10, watched it again and liked it more than the first viewing. its great but the motives behind the murders and that huge gun fight just got a LITTLE too ridiculous for me. very enjoyable though, cant wait to see the next edgar wright/simon pegg/nick frost film.

Once: 9/10, Great little movie, one of those gems youve never heard of until someone recommends it. a simple story of a guy and a girl musician who slowly fall in love over the course of a week whilst collaborating on some songs, its just really natural and not fake or pretentious. its a nice story and its got great music.

dark knight- did not live up to the hype like I keep reading about but still a good movie.

I did not care for the ending, it is one of those movies you won't watch over and over but if it is pouring down rain and you are bored and no work you will toss it in. 3.5/5

Run Fatboy Run.....6/10 - would have rated higher but it made me question why I wasnt running when I was clearly fatter then the bloke the movie was based around.... no seriously not bad little flick...

Caught Tropic Thunder tonight and was very suprised. I expected a few laughs in a heavily cliche'd film and it was to some degree but so much more funny than I expected.

Downey was brilliant, the Australian actor pretending to be an African American who forgets he is white man (sounds like method acting but over the top in a Psychotic way) was just hilarious even during the weaker moments. Ben Stiller was good as always and Jack Black didn't let down either. Tom Cruise has a small roll with some very Sadistic yet funny scenes/lines, I never imagined he could deliver like that with the one liners. It was just sick! Suprised to see Matthew McConaughey and Nick Nolte in there aswell, pretty stacked cast.

Just don't expect another Apocalypse Now or Full Metal Jacket, it's an action/comedy afterall, with a a bit of sencless violence, cheap gore and as many laughs as you wanna have. Overall I'd say an 8 out of 10 based on laugh value and originality. Also for pushing the envelope with a comedy.

GO SEE IT! :D

Seen a few in the last few days. Not going into much detail, I'll just rate them;

Vantage Point - 8/10

Pretty good, suprised me.

Juno - 7/10

Wasn't bad, a little arty but I like the originality and dry humour.

Unknown - 7/10

Worth a watch.

Hell Ride - 3/10

Attaching a famous name to something don't mean it's good

Enjoyed Vantage point, might grab Juno next time i go to the store.

I dont think Dennis Hopper got Hell Ride to Easy Rider status
