I was thinking the same thing Cal...if you have time to ruin bb cards Rhys, you can at least do the dishes first man...in my house that would get you a one week ban from ozcards.

Well after all this I've just canned Patrick from here. Twice now in two weeks is too much. The lengths some will go to make their pc bigger and rip others off. I know Patrick wants every single LJ card but making them up is one thing, being full of **** and trying to pass them off and SELL them to members here even thru eBay is another.
He wont be back here and ulike Cal he can't blame the booze LOL

I find this a little odd. Patrick isn't allowed to explain himself?
Has he fooled literally 1000's of buyers but 'ha can't fool us'?? Look at his feedback! 1 neg in 5 years (from an idiot) and he's mostly been selling this stuff.
Personally I know he doesn't care about being banned on here but NO one here as far as I know has one except for 'slobby the great' who started talking about penises in the same sentence - class act.
Obviously Patrick is sending free kobe cards to kids by day and dunking 1000's of cards into water at night after he finishes work to make $5-10 a go - on top of the high paying job he does....
Ask yourself - would u bother going through what Rhys did for each card to make $5? If that was the case wouldn't u only do Jordan cards so u can make more rather than Iguodala or Gary Payton?

I bought a camby one from patrick and yes i know he is a great collector and have bought from him in the past. I feel completely duped by this, i guess the question is whether he knew or not. Considering it was touched on at HK a while back you would assume he did know considering he has just listed abucket load more of them.

glad he got canned, and HK people can stick up for him all they like with their "he's been an upstart guy for 5-6 years ect ect" well I haven't killed anyone in 31 years but if I kill "hmm who to pick..lol WALL4CE... tomorrow am I still an upstanding member of the community, he knows these are fake and not only is he not letting people on eBay know this, he is doing the complete opposite and claiming them as RARE. I wonder what Larry Johnson would think of his no#1 fan ripping of people all over the world.

They might be 'real' Rhys, but they're still not rare nor are they actual proof cards. They're simply cards that have only gone through half the production process. I'm sure Topps make the Acetate bit and the Cardboard bit separately and then stick them together. Some Topps employee is leaking these unfinished cards to the public and people then sell them as 'proof' cards. Proof my arse, not completed yes.

But if u look at the calculations Cal made before...
U sell 500+ of these for roughly $3-5 or so a card, thats like 1.5-2 grand!!!!!!!!

I'd suggest they're uncut sheets of stock from Topps that didn't go all the way through the production process (Does that make them proof?). I highly doubt it was meant to be released to the public though as Topps would surely try to make a buck on it themselves by inserting it into packs or making it redemptions no?
Not saying Patrick did anything criminal in aquiring them either btw.

I consider this the same as those who sell the "Fleer Cards", that are un-numbered...
The seller knows these cards are NOT "rare", and should not mislead fellow buyers.
On the other hand, I don't beieve these same cards in Rhys' vid are the same that Pat was selling (or in that link).
If he's cutting them from a sheet, and selling them off, I can't see a problem with that, but if he's obtaining them without knowing the history of them, he shouldnt be passing them on as "rare" and "proof" cards...
