Latest Movie/DVD you've seen, and what would you rate it...

Watched The Marine last night with WWE's John Cena.

I gotta say I was disappointed. It started out fantastic, went on a plateau, and then declined quicker than Lindsay Lohan on a Drug Addiction.

3/5 for me. Maybe a 4.5 if there were more shots of the blonde hotshot Kelly Carlson!!!

I watched "Waiting" Last night. Not sure if anyone has seen or heard of it? Has Ana Faris, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Long (Dodgeball, Jeepers Creepers).

Came out like early last year on DVD, had it sitting their in my unwatched movie pile so i whacked it on.

Its based on a kid who has no future. He and his friends all working in the same place, doing whacky crap!

Id give 7/10.
Had something missing, but wasnt too bad as i had never really heard of it.

The Simpsons - Dissapointing. They needed to involve more characters in it, the most boring simpsons episodes are the ones based solely around the simpson family.

watched "Hot Fuzz" a few nights ago and its was alright, the first 2/3 of the movie really built up the suspense well, but then they made the last half an hour into an absolutely ridiculous climax. almost ruined it completely for me. but i still give it a 7/10, worth a watch.

it stars the two dudes from Shaun of The Dead, so if you liked that you may love this too.

saw die hard 4 a couple of nights ago and have to say they dont make em like they use 2. over the top big time this one nowhere as good as no. 1 and 3. no bad guy character development.

waiting on mcclane to say he's to old for this sh*t :)

Just finished watching HOT FUZZ...Freakin HIlarious...

DOne by the guys that did Shaun of the Dead (Simon Pegg was the writer of it)

If you havent seen it, do so!

9/10!

watched "White Noise 2" last night, no big nam actors but not bad overal. The first movie i wasnt really a fan of.

Sort of got pushed into watching this one, but turned to be not too bad overall.

6/10 from me :)

DIE HARD 4 10/10

Man i loved this movie i wanted to see the next session when i came out of the movie theatre haha. The action scenes are unbelivable especially the tunnell scene
From all the ads i thought Bruce Willis acting looked a bit corny and dull but i was defiantly prooven wrong, i thought his acting in this one was brilliant and also the dude from (Accepted, Dodgeball) was bloody sick as the computer hacker and Kevin Smith is even in it ;) I remembered the dude who plays the villian from Gone in 60 Seconds and his performance was equally as good. Im going to see it again this week =D>
Im the biggest Die Hard fan, they are my favourite movies of all time and Die Hard 4 defiantly didnt dissapoint. Gripping and all in all just a very good script filled with unreal sound and action scenes. Best movie ive seen since Smokin Aces!

Completely agree Jon....movie was awesome!! Like someone else said, there were someparts that were a bit over the top, but that is what the Die Hard series is all about!!

10/10!! :worthy: =D> :worthy: =D>

yer Benny especially the collapasing bridge scene haha but it was still super cool and like you said it's what makes it Die Hard. Same can be said about alot of movies 007, Bourne, Matrix to name a couple that are also over the top..

I saw Dylan Moran (of Black Books fame) in his stand up routine "Monster", very funny, one of the best stand up comedians ive seen in a long time.

9/10

zodiac- 8/10 it was to long (2 hours 34 minutes) if you want to see it though I would say wait in 2008 there is a director's cut comming out and has interviews with the real people that worked the case, survivors and so on

texas chainsaw massacre- the beginning not that good (im waiting for the halloween remake to come out 8/31/07)

I agree, it was crap, the original TCM is one of my fav all time movies (and the first ever DVD i bought :D) but "the begining" was just woeful...

The Illusionist 9.5/10

Well another magic/illusion movie set in the Old'n days like The Prestige but i actually enjoyed this one more. It has a massive twist you dont see coming at the end and Edward Norton and Jessica Biel display some fabulous acting and Paul Giamatti is great in it aswell as the Inspector.
Bascially the short of it, is 2 childhood friends get re-acquainted in Vienna after many years when Edward Norton is performing a show and gets the assistance of a crowd member who just happens to be his childhood sweetheart. In the movie you get to see some really cool Illusions and just how much magic entertained people back in those days.

Well worth watching and all gets revealed in the final 5 minutes. ;)

Agree with you there, watched it last night and it was great after not expecting too much as i had not heard of it before.
Also watched
"Wild Hogs"
Good movie with some simple laughs stars Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence amd William H. Macy 6/10

"300"
9.5/10 Great, Great, Great. One of the best movies I have seen all year!

Watched the Hitcher (2007) earlier.

Not bad at all. About 4/5.

Pretty gruesome in some parts, and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Almost like Road Kill (Paul Walker), but more like it's original Hitcher movie.

Still great, worth the watch.
