How long do you wait?

Hey all
I bought a player lot of cards from a member on here paid goods and also covered the fee. Were apparently sent 2.5 weeks ago, to date no cards, I have pm'd and posted on the OP for any postage info last Friday still no cards and no info. I know real life takes priority so I don't want to create any other issues should that be the case (nothing suggests this is the case though) my question is what's a reasonable wait before going through the paypal claim and also a possible neg? I feel if no cards and no proof of tracking etc by this Thurs (3 weeks since they should have been sent) I don't have much choice. User hasn't been on since Friday.
Seems unlikely someone would do a ghost for $60 all in. Would appreciate any thoughts as I try to be a reasonable guy. His feedback is low but 100% to now. I just reckon honesty is always the best policy. Disappearing creates doubt. So what's fair to you guys?? By the way they are from QLD to WA

Update 31/10 - Still nothing. Sent seller PM 6.11pm WST

you have waited a week too long for me matey! I would get the admin involved and get a credit back :)
Yeah I try and give people a fair go but you are probably right. Anyone who has bought from me knows how I do things but I also can't expect the same from everyone. I figured 3 weeks is more than fair let's say they weren't sent and he found them Friday last week in the car. I am thinking a normal person would express them and say sorry mate they are on the way. But who knows. Just don't wanna create an issue if I can avoid it. It's hard as I do things very thoroughly and whether I charge for it or not always send registered. I figure personally would rather wear a couple of bucks to cover both parties. Thanks for your reply mate

I'll give it til Thursday, reach out via PM again if not received by then and if no genuine resolution is reached will go the suggested route via admin etc. We all make mistakes and sometimes sh!t just happens thanks for your replies and also to the guys who have pm'd.
I still say we are in a much better community than any of the international ones.
Cheers

3 weeks is a fair amount of time.
Although it did take 12 days once for a package l sent from Melbourne to country Victoria!! Dam AusPost....

If the seller response, give them the benifit of doubt.

Excuses excuses and then says they are going to get the tracking info on Friday and don’t get back you you/come online. Not cool after a long delay issue.

I think assuming the cards were sent when advised 3 full weeks is more than fair for me to give as Ming advised Auspost can be ridiculously slow. I am hoping they arrive but yeah some follow up from the seller as they said they would do, would have eased the nerves somewhat. It's not big value, it's not pc as such but that's also not the point. I will remain optimistic until I visit the post office for the last time on Thursday. Will def advise should they arrive by/before then as I don't want this member slammed if Auspost or whatever things beyond his control may have occurred. From what I've gathered I am being reasonable which is what I wanted to confirm.

He his tagging a admin from a Facebook page that had the member you have in question, as I think he was a headache aswell
member here long before FB admin :p

@Reignman40 has just dealt with a package that took 2 months to be delivered.

I think Aust Post is just getting worse and worse. I just had a Syd-Melb package take 6 business days - Qantas alone has 30 flights a day so surely it can be done faster than that!

No reply to PM
Nothing at the PO
Have sent message through Paypal.
He appears to have changed his name on gumtree too. People aren't all that hard to find, in my line of work you learn how to find people haha.
There's a mobile number linked to their business and appears he has a joint fb profile with his Mrs.
But I am not looking to contact him off record so will just stick to the formal processes at this stage. I still hope for the sake of it that it's an honest mistake however all signs are pointing to that not being the case. So lame to try and roll someone for $60. Not getting the cards is not even the point anymore as Paypal will cover it. It's just the point of him being a "likely turd" that annoys me. Hope nobody else has any pending transactions of higher value with this guy. Will update if anything develops however will be going down the claim road as of Friday.
If admins need any further detail just shoot me a pm.
Cheers

As already stated, depends on who the member is.
I recently had a saga, which did eventually come good but it did highlight how bad Aus Post is.
4 weeks and returned to sender then second mail out did take at least 2 weeks to arrive ... Melbourne to QLD.
Alarm bells would be ringing if you are getting no feedback at all via PM or other contact methods, failbook etc.

Hope the cards get to you mate, is bloody frustrating waiting and worrying.

Ok so the conclusion is that this is not above board. Guy was on here and read my PM 9.08am Eastern - didn't respond.
Hasn't responded to Paypal message and as expected nothing at the PO today.
So I have no issue stating you should definitely think twice before dealing with buggy78.
If things were above board and he only saw my PM this morning he would have offered some form of reply and apology - nope, not this bloke. Probably doesn't realise that people can see when a message was read and when they were last on here.
So that's that.
Cheers again for the input, pms etc.
This doesn't tarnish anything other than that particular member who I should assume will be banned. @graham
Whilst many knew who this user was I didn't want to out them until the general consesus was confirmed. Hence why I have only added his user now.
