The Australian cricket non-official thread!

Just home from work. Geez Warner must have batted beautifully this morning, bummed i missed it but hopefully another ton to go for him.

I am loving Renshaw opening the batting with him. Keeps playing is own game securing up the other end so the guys know they have stability up there and he will stick around making it easier for them to play their attacking styles

Really hope he doesnt get dropped for Marsh in the next series

I really like Renshaw also, natural QLD bias aside!!

He needs to go to India, even if he doesn't play tests and only a tour match the experience and benefit will be enormous

do any of Khawaja, Smith, Warner, Handscomb bowl enough spin that combined could be a second spinner and both Marsh and Renshaw could play

I think Shaun Marsh has to be in the team if fit. He averages 78.60 in the sub-continent and was in good form before getting injured. However ideally I'd also like Renshaw to play for the invaluable experience of playing in those conditions. I think one of them will miss out so we can play an all-rounder, and whoever it is will be unlucky.

I think they'll go with 5 bowling options. But will be interesting to see what path they go down!
Watson was marginally better then Mitch marsh as the all rounder, but I don't see the point in picking a guy that's only going to average low 30s with the bat and high 30s with the ball at test level.

Would rather pick a pure bat to go in at 6

Big gamble but I think Faulkner's fast cutters would be deadly on a day 4 Indian wicket, particularly with a keeper at that stumps keeping the batsmen in their crease.

Is pretty disgraceful in regards to the over rate when the Pakis only bowled 88 overs for the day when almost 40 were bowled by spin!!!
