Anyone think theres any chance of the Lakers playing any defence this year? Swear ever game we play the other team shoots 50+% fg, 40+% 3PT. Alot of teams seem to have dropped on D this year or is the league simply just moving onto a quick more scoring focused game?

Yeah I think we're seeing less and less focus on defense and more on transition offense. It's no surprise Memphis can still pull off wins when they're missing star players, it's because they can constantly get stops.

I mean, 2 guys churning out triple doubles. There were 7 this week in the league alone. This is what puts bums on seats though unfortunately.

It's funny because all D'Antoni did is change his position to point guard and let him bring the ball up court instead of him working off screens to get the ball and then dribble away the possession. He's just getting into the offense sooner by being their primary balhandler. Kinda obvious now in hindsight but kinda brilliant.

Awesome read on that LeBron pass to Dunleavy a while ago..gives perspective on how cerebral these guys need to be to play at that level and read and memorize plays.
