Hey yea, thats super weird - the card has Select's logo on it and doesn't have an ESP logo anywhere on it, but you send it to an ESP mailing address to get it redeemed...

The colored coin looks even worse than the preview picture on page 2. I mean the photos aren't great, but from what I can see - wow that coin is ugly:

Seeing these I am glad I stayed away from this set, even tho I collect coins and cards, I just got the feeling I will be able to pick them up later, cheaper and now, I think I wont even bother.

Daniel, that is rather odd, considering select no-longer have the nrl licence, maybe esp is using there images just so they do not have to pay the Nrl another licence fee.
Does the TCM furore at the moment ring any bells.

Just to clarify, the signature redemptions for the AFL have the Select logo on them, but they have the ESP mailing address to send to for redemption. The NRL ones I haven't seen a picture of the back of the card, but @bar4kids just confirmed that they are sent to ESP and I assume they also have an ESP logo on the back of the card

there are a 100 of them.
You can"t even get $300 for a sterling card or wally card.
How many gold league leaders to a release and they only fetch around 50-80.

It will be interesting to see what these settle at. 200 signature cards at 1:25 boxes so 5000 boxed set release. I would imagine that there will be significant unsold product so this might keep the price up like it did with the YG's from 13 Traders. The JT will obviously fetch much more than the Semi (don't hate me @Parrapaul , I am just jealous it wasn't a Croker, horrible signature it would have been!).

Daytrader has the sigs as a 1:75 ratio. Maybe they are asking so much because of that also?

I'd be interested to see what the signature cards look like first if I was to buy one. If it is the same image as used on the Churchill Medallist common I'd be pretty disappointed for a bucket load of cash.

It is awesome to see a card for the Holden Cup player of the year. That would be an interesting mid-level signature card in future releases

My cowboys postcards were all corner damaged.. I'll contact them today about it. The coins are awesome. I got the base sets in all three. But pretty pleased with the coins....


At the selling price Of the sig... I think I'll randomly buy boxes over the next year rather than consider forking out 3k lol!
