2014-15 NBA Playoffs Thread - SPOILERS!!!!

Hrm whatdyaknow, double teaming LeBron and limiting him to 20 points and letting his team mates shoot the ball actually resulted in a win for the dubs. Might be a good strategy to employ for the next game..

Cavs fans in the car park after tonight's game. I kid you not.

So they named a stadium after delly, this is why America will always laugh at us, one good game and they will do that, what would we do if he won a mvp? We make it seem like we have never had a half decent player in the nba before lol

Really? Someone out of a tiny little country town makes it big overseas and the local 2 court, council operated centre gets named after him - you think it's laughable? A venue that he spent hundreds (if not thousands) of hours at growing up whilst refining his craft?

It's the greatest sign of respect that they can show to one of their own.

Yep, and I'd say there's plenty of American players who aren't considered stars who have had childhood/high school gyms named after them, we just don't hear about it. I say good on Delly, small-town fella who made good. It's not like they re-named the nearest NBL stadium after him...

I guess that game was to be expected. Cavs looked drained and GS looked focused.

Interesting couple of things I read.

LeBron has been a part of 2 of the WORST finals HOME losses in history. Ouch.

LeBron mentioned that beating the Celtics after being down 2 was still his greatest accomplishment.

I'm still hoping the Cavs can win, but GS would need to choke a game at home or LeBron go even more superhuman.

It's sounding like Marion will get a run, Blatt could even give him a start if they go small??? I hope we don't see Perkins, he's so bad on offense that the Cavs can't afford to carry him.

Stephen. A. Smith. "There's nowhere for the Cavs to go, their guards are terrible". After singing their praises game 3.

This guy is the biggest idiot in sports. He jumps from game to game with little to no insight at all. He says Cavs should stay big and dump it inside. Moron.

This series is looking like a 7 gamer. Can't wait:)

It was really an energy and 3 pt making problem this game for CLE. They had a nice run in the 3rd and were down 6 in the 4th. Hopefully someone out of Jr, Shump or Delly can have a great game 5.

Where's luc longlys gym? Patty mills? Bogarts? All have had 1000 times better career so far, I just think they should name them after a player with a great "career". Not one game. Then they earned the honour. Did they change they change it back after dellys horrible game 4? Lol

I really want to hope you're trying to troll right now...

Bogut (NOT Bogart) came from the same association as a WNBL Team, Dandenong. Dandenong who has a 17 court venue at attracts about 17,000 people through the door each week - More than double the entire town of Maryborough where 'Delly' is from (7,000 population). When you factor in a venue of that size, and the number of development coaches - not just for the WNBL Rangers but at junior level too, it's easy to understand why Dandenong is a top 3 association in Metro Victoria.

As for Mills, who mostly honed his craft at the Australian Institute of Sport... I'm fairly certain there are hundreds of athletes who would just as deservedly across multiple sports been just as deserving, if not more.

As for Longley - if memory services me right he's from Perth - metro. Not country. Again, let's put that in comparison.

As for those from Maryborough with a greater basketball career than Delly, please name one?
