Heys guys, this came through the mail today. It's a standard sized trading card of Alonzo Mourning inside a slightly larger cardboard with 2 pieces of 'game used' relics being a ball and jersey patch. On the back there's a cutout stand as well as some information saying that the GU ball and jersey came from Upper Deck.

I've never seen anything like this before, thought it looked super cool and definitely different. Can anyone shine any light on this item? Says its from Vintage Sports Cards company. Cheers.

Thanks Antony. Hopefully someone has an idea of what this is. I'm deciding whether I should pop the stand and display it with my Alonzo signed memorabilia signed GU sneakers and snapback or leave as is :D

Never seen anything like that. Doesn't appear to be any numbering on it anywhere.
Wonder how many they made and of how many players?
Very unique acquisition.

That's intereesting but only raises more questions  there's basically no information of the manufacturer other than who it was assembled by, so I'm curious to know what the purpose of these were exactly?

That card reminds me of the oddball Mash below. From memory they sold them in retail stores along with a pack or container of cards - your does look a little more high end though!

I always love the oddball stuff. nice work.

Thanks Benn. When I saw it, it really intrigued me. I don't normally buy oddball stuff but this is kinda neat. Could this be a start to oddball collecting? uh oh

Awesome! That makes sense, maybe they used these as gifts for buyers buying cases maybe? haha so many questions unanswered!!

I missed the bid on that one glad you got it. It's just a promo from a private company used to display as a stand up. I have 3 different ones like that one. I would have loved that one with the patch. Not sure about the authenticity of these but I like them and buy them cuz I love oddballs. There's a handful more different ones out there still...
