COMC Mailbox Thread

thats what i assumed.... but there should be a transfer option for trading, especially for group breakers.

Hi, we don't have a "transfer" option right now, so the only way to move a card from one account to another is to sell it.

Tim has been talking of giving our users the ability to trade cards via COMC, but that was put on the back burner, due to the issues with the card catalog we've been dealing with this year. I hope he brings the idea back and we start working on it.

Hi @Moe@COMC I have received 'Bonus Items' in one of the batches I've had sent into you guys which look as though they are 6 extra base cards and I obviously don't want to pay the additional $6 in processing fee's and more than happy to donate them. How do I go about getting them taken off my processing list?

The batch number is 1111380 and the only one I want to keep is the Chandler printing plate.

Thanks mate!

You can donate them, after they get processed, via the Inventory Manager - use the Actions dropdown menu, and choose "Donate to Charity" and we'll reimburse you for those processing fees, when those cards get transferred to the Charity account.

are people adding items to your accounts by simply posting cards to your COMC address?

Yeah I bought a Chandler printing plate on eBay and the bloke has sent in 6 base cards with it...I wonder if his seen it's a COMC address and wanted to mess with me or he just generally does that? Pretty annoying to have to chase it up so I don't get billed with it either way

Your a champ @Moe@COMC thanks heaps for the lightening quick response and info! =D>

Correct, that easy. Just create an account and you're good to go. Also transfer funds into your ac. You can then also bargain with sellers for the cards they are selling on comc.com. Managed to snag some really cheap cards.

I think Andrew was meaning are people just sending cards or extra cards to my account so that I have to pay processing fees...that's how I read it anyway.

I think he means instead of sending in your own cards in via the normal processing method, are people sending cards to their own mailboxes to get cards added to their own account??

Would there be any benefit in that? Maybe processing time?

These things happen all the time. People use base cards to surround the card you bought as a means of extra protection, they're not trying to screw you out of your money for no reason. It's really easy to donate them to charity and get your money back a few times I've even got some PC base or inserts used as filler so that worked out for me! What didn't work out was the time someone sent me around 20 random Star Wars cards as filler, no card needs that much protection! And I would have thought the guy who sent them to me must have had to pay a fair bit extra for postage too!

haha yeah 20 is bloody overkill!!! Yeah I've had people do that too but the Chandler plate that I won was sent in a one touch so I don't know why there was a need to add base...

One touches can crack sometimes when sent in the mail, they can really mess a card up, most people even prefer that a card be sent in a toploader instead to save the risk, so I guess they must have been trying to stop any pressure being put on it

yep that is exactly what I meant.

now i have looked into it:
Send to COMC Mailbox - $1 per card, essentially straight away in account (1-3 business days is what they quote)

Send to COMC for adding to account:
as above
or 2-8 weeks option is 25c per card but a 100 card minimum (+5c if you send in a top loader)

@Moe@COMC I have had some cards getting condition graded by COMC and has been there since 26/8 and 29/8 and others I had done only took a few days etc.

Can you find out what is going on?

This should take about a week to do, but you did make the request right before a 3 day long weekend, so that might have extended things a bit. I'll see what I can do to get this pushed along - sorry for the wait.

@Moe@COMC

I'm just now getting reports about this; I've alerted the server/IT team, but I don't have a timeframe, except as soon as possible. Sorry about this.
