i have always believed that the player responsible for injuring another player due to foul play and the injured player has 3 weeks off for the injury, the responsible player should have, AT MINIMUM, the same amount of time out of the game...

Just out of interest; what about during a game? Tagatese and Prior injured Dane Neilsen in an illegal tackle to the point where he couldn't play again in the game (and this week). Tagatese was placed on report and continued whilst the Warriors had to play the majority of the game with a prop plugging the centres, which against some teams would have been terminal. The Sharks got a massive unintended benefit from an illegal act, the Warriors were heavily penalised for the oppositions illegal act. If suspended another team gets the benefit of the suspension.

Hell yeah it does, I'm not having a cry about it, nor was I on Sunday. The fact that I support the team is irrelevant in this instance. I'm posing it as a question in response to the thread discussion about players serving bans the length of their victims. I'm interested in what others think about the issue within the NRLs rules; should it keep happening to teams in the future?

i think it would be hard to police on game day, although i would say if the player leaves the field and there is some video evidence of malice then the aggressor goes of as well until/if the injured player comes back on ????

There is evidence as to why Reynolds tried to trip barba......

I could see a player staying down over a little head contact and leaving the field for the rest of the game if it was done by a star player like Thurston just to get him out of the game
