Lebron moves his cars every Summer its nothing new.
I didnt know that. Very interesting tho!!
Haha, I realise he would never leave. Loyal lad!
But, an extra $30mil? (what was the max $?)over 3 years to see out your last playing years, not having to be the main man. Lets face it, it doesn't appear to be too many 'star' players lining up to play for the Mavs even with Dirk being a 'draw card'. (I'm a fan of them by the way)
$30 mil is $30 mil... It's just business
Edit: $30 mil extra
Same deal that Duncan got from Spurs, 2yr $20m - $10m a year. Both well deserved, and very discounted.
Max could have been same as Lebron/Melo deals ($129/6yrs), but highly unlikely that'd ever go down, Mavs would have no one!
Idea was for Dirk to take significant pay cut (last year = $20.7m), and bring in a new #1 focus (let's say Melo), but now if Parsons comes on board, it'll be a complete team effort with Monta, Parsons & Dirk, with the hopes of securing another solid starting PF next season (or one after). - That was SUPPOSED to be Lamarcus Aldridge from what I'm reading, but I'm sure there'll be others pop up, if not suitable trade targets are always around.
Funnily enough, Melo was the one interested in Mavs more so them in him. Still very much a mutual interest no doubt, but he made it known that he wanted to visit them first (not first team) but he put it out there before Mavs did.
Pretty much every FA looking to move or consider offers are waiting on the top dudes; Melo, Bron, Bosh & (possibly, lol) Wade's decisions, but unless you're one of those guys, the others are always going to sit back and wait for teams to approach them for offers.
I wouldnt imagine someone like Chris Andersen ringing up a team asking to play for them.
Stupid example, but you get my point.
