Official 2013-14 Playoffs Thread - SPOILERS!

No love for the Pacers? They are in the ECF, even though it was the ugliest second half of the season I've seen...

Blue Collar = Hard work, Tuff D, playing together, overcoming being down and fighting back to win...

Gold Swagger = Team not playing together, no D, no effort, no focus... PG running around after hitting a 3 in the 1st like it was the biggest shot in history... Crying to the refs after every play. That side of ANY player makes me sick to my stomach...

I just feel that Indy are solid, not outstanding. PG has been playing pretty nice all playoffs. But they're about to step it up a notch.

I actually think the Heat will kill them.

4-1 Miami, maybe 4-2.

I really hope the Spurs beat Okc. They need to be put back in their place. Even though I've been impressed by Wbrook, Adams and Reggie going off.

Pacers Solid? Anything but solid! They are a mess lets face it!

The Pacers can EASILY be killed by Miami, Miami could go 4-0 against them but if the Pacers can do what they do best and that is slow things down to a grind, play strangling Defence and put in as much effort has they humanly can, fight for every ball and play together on the offensive end get everyone involved and have guys like Lance,PG,Hill,West,Hibbert,Turner,C.J each have a bit better than average offensive games once in a while, well the Pacers can win this series...

Miami on the other hand are solid, they have been doing what they do all post season and haven't been rattled yet, even though Brooklyn stayed close in most of their games, the 4th is where Miami shined...

Miami will be tough to beat and if they control the pace and the paint the Pacers can't win, also Miami's defensive pressure on the Pacer guards really make life hard on guys like Hill and Lance, those guys can't seem to handle the pressure Miami puts on them under full court press, Spoelstra knows this!

So this series could go either way, much like the Pacers season, just when you count them out, they fight back to beat you....Miami better get it done quickly, they don't want to get into a grind with the Pacers! That could change everything! Pacers in 7....

As for OKC vs Spurs, I'm going with OKC and I also think if Miami get to the Finals, OKC is the only team that could beat them ( I know how crazy that sounds )

You're taking the term "solid" a different way than I intended.

Solid as in, they have talent across the board, they play tough D and have decent O. Not solid in the way you were talking, consistent and such. No.

Sorry but there's only one way this will go. Heat to win. I don't care about form. 5 months ago I would have still picked Miami.

I'm sorry but if Okc get to the Finals, they have no chance of beating Miami. They got spanked in Miami's 1st championship 4-1, now all of a sudden Okc are a better team without Harden? I know Reggie is doing a great job, but please. Add to that the mileage on Okc in these playoffs.

Okc vs Memphis (legit contender) 7 games
Okc vs Clippers (legit contender) 6 games
Okc vs Spurs (you'd have to think at least 6 games)

Compared to the stroll in the park Miami have faced.

In fact, I feel there's 7 teams in the West better than Indy.

Heat will win again. Unfortunately.

Spurs vs OKC is intriguing, can the Spurs get back and win 5 for TD? That would be pretty amazing.

Can the Spurs even get past the Thunder who they've struggled with since they were up 2-0 in the West Finals 2 years ago?

Should be a great series.

Wow! Ibaka is out!
That sucks for OKC, I wanted Spurs to play a full strength team so if they win they are more prepared for te heat!

Perkins and Adams will make up the minutes but no shot blockers to deter drives will be a big problem. Spurs will own the paint.

I'm gutted. Even though OKC have looked terrible for most of the playoffs and quite frankly, were lucky to get through two rounds, they had given me hope of being able to compete with the Spurs. No Ibaka means having to rely on the juggernauts that are Perry Jones, Hasheem Thabeet and Nick Collison. Adams will be in foul trouble every game.
Was really hoping to be able to pick up a Finals worn jersey of his...

If OKC was the Gus Hansen of basketball, then Spurs are the Phil Helmuth equivalent. Gus will get up with some ridiculous plays and look absolutely brilliant and lose his pants with the same style. Phil will usually make the high percentage play and will be patient to get a better spot to make a move.

LOL.
But be careful, if you beat Phil (Spurs) at his (their) own game, he (they) will become "NASTY!!!"

And of course the haters on Blowout are calling it karma. I call it bitterness and a damn shame for both Ibaka personally and the Thunder as a whole.
The Heat have had such a damn easy run, I really hope the Spurs (or if by some miracle the Thunder) beat their butts.

Gees you're bit of a dick sometimes....No need to be so rude...

MY TURN,

That's good I'm glad you don't agree with me at all...You always take the so called better team....How's that worked out for you? LOL

Miami gets it done quickly they will win no doubt, they get stuck in a grind, all bets are off...

OKC even with Ibaka out OKC will pull together like nothing you have seen before, I think they will shock the Spurs...And you.

I'll take the underdogs in both series...Ha ha Pacers are still here...Suck on that too...

OKC with no chance in Finals against the Heat? Things change, KD's better, Westbrook's better and the team play better and RESPOND better!

Never underestimate the heart of a champion, KD is a true champion (he will put himself on the line to win or lose it all) and he will show the difference between himself and LeFraud (he will not put himself on the line to win or lose it all) in another Final series, with the help of Westbrook playing like he SHOULD be Finally!!!!...

LeBron can get you there, but he doesn't want to be the guy to finish the job, whereas KD, will always take on the biggest shots or plays regardless of what's on the line if he misses...

Before anyone starts here, the above statement is my opinion on KD and LeBron, I still recognize LeBron is the better overall player(most of the time) but only because of his defensive ability and passing, KD's offensive game is miles ahead...

So if it comes down to Miami vs OKC in the Finals, I would bet real money it doesn't go the way you think it would...
Rather than making it about money, I'd be happy to put myself on the line in some way so the loser has to make a fool of themselves publicly.(on this forum perhaps)

How about that? This is me being a dick, Enjoy.

Quoted for enshrinement in the OZCT HOF hissy fits of the millenium.

No idea what you are going on about here.

You may want to call the guys with the straight jackets to come and take you away.

Go Nets!!!!

There's a lot of people born with one eye over there. I actually hate that ibaka is out. I'm certainly not counting out Okc. It would certainly be pretty special if Okc win the west.

Just doing what you do...

I might have a different view than you do, but I don't need to force it down your throat by saying things like there's only one way it will go or there's no chance this or that team will win...

Seriously have you looked back at how many YOU predicted that YOU got wrong...

I'm not even the first guy to get in an argument with your thought process this week!

So maybe you might want to have a think about how some of your posts come off...

Everyone already knows I'm crazy, that doesn't make you any less of a dick.

Ha ha, I picked the EXACT series scores for Mia vs Nets and Indy vs Wiz.

I always pick against the Spurs, just for fun, then they end up winning and I'm happy:thumbsup:

I picked the Clips over Okc because I had some money on them.

Good luck with your "Indy could EASILY" spank Mia.

We could always settle this with a game of 1 on 1, see who the real baller is?
