predict Phil Jackson's

^Jordan sure did win his rings the hard way with those terrible players such as Pippen and Rodman.

Hopefully Phil lets Melo go and also moves Chandler on. Put Amare as the starting C and try to get a strong D minded PF, someone like a Ibaka. Cut Jr Smith and trying to bring a solid chemistry of guys that actually want to play for the team and not just them self. Would love the have LeBron as a Knick.

LeBron will go to what ever team is the best or easiest way to a Championship, if that means he stays in Miami and demands MORE help or goes to the Knicks and takes a pay cut for a super team to be built around him he'll do it!

Do you see LeBron EVER going to a bad team to rebuild and start again? I don't think he would ever do that and he will want a supporting cast on the cards or in place before he goes anywhere...

I just don't like the thought of LeBron playing for the Knicks after what Melo has done and stayed on a crap team and now Phil's there the team will turn it all around and LeBron would get all the credit! And i hate Melo!

Miami Heat will not make the Finals this year if it all falls on LeBron and he doesn't have a somewhat healthy Wade.

Wade is the key and if he can't get those big games he seemed to pull out of nowhere last year, then I don't see LeBron doing it this year and if he does I will never discredit him again! NEVER!

Unless he falls over and gets saved by Jesus,Bosh,Wade or even Chalmers hits big shots too..lol

Just like last year, the absolute pot luck for Miami to win some of those games was amazing to say the least...

I don't think LeBron's anywhere near MJ, so he can have 12 rings if it helps, it matters to some people how they get them!

I have a too high standard, I know, so what ever he does I'm sure i'll find a way to view it as less then perfect...

I guess I put too much love/hate on players in the NBA, it's probably because I always loved the game, the hobby investment BS doesn't have anything to do with how I feel about a players!
I hate when people say that!

Sorry about the rant, I'm so use to going in F.U mode with murrke on the other forum, I didn't even look at what I typed...lol

Wasn't my intension to start that here, I guess I miss murrke...lmao
some good points.. the only thing I would argue is that if you're referring to Cleveland as the "crap team that needs to be rebuilt" i would say the second Lebron joins the Cavs, they aren't crap anymore. Kyrie, Lebron, Waiters, Varejao, Deng... that's a championship contender straight away.

I wasn't referring to the Cav's...

That team is starting to look like almost a good idea for him to go back too, but I just don't think he'd do it...

I think it will be difficult to get LBJ out of Miami, Pat Riley would make sure of that. Just imagine how much effort they exerted just to get D-Wade, Bosh and LBJ together. Only a long term mega $ offer from a contender team would make LBJ think.

Rodman wasn't on the first 3 peat team and you should look into how many bad games Pippen had offensively in the playoff and finals runs!

He wasn't very good and very inconsistent, no doubt Pippen's D fence was a huge help and that's what made him so good! His average always dropped from season average pretty much...

Jordan had it much easier for the second 3 peat in where he had way more help in Harper,Kukoc, even Kerr hit some big 3's...

So no, I don't think Jordan did anything on his own, but he didn't go to another team to chase an easier ring...He did do it the hard way and stuck it out with Bulls even though he lost over and over again trying to get past the Pistons!

Jordan was also his own problem in a way where he didn't want offensive help and wanted to do it all himself, so it's not like he couldn't have made it easier on himself getting in a better centre, they never did that and won rings with basically no post, well I mean not from a centre anyway...

I know they use to start games running the post with Bill and Luke but come crunch time or second half even, that stopped altogether...

I don't think the 2nd 3 peat was easier. Jordan was ruuusssty! He played awful the first few games. Plus, his rep for being "the" player made other teams play better when they played Chicago.

These guys just gave him some more options to overcome the new challenges on the 2nd 3 peat.

I think as soon as you add Lebron to any team in the whole league it becomes a contender. I can't think of a team who wouldn't make a playoff push by adding Lebron. Same could have been said for MJ of course. I'm not a Lebron fan at all (actually can't stand the guy) but he is that good. So I don't think any Lebron team will ever be "rebuilding" at any stage.

Hmmm, a bit one eyed bud, which actually weakens your argument.

To me, Jordan was the best ever and I think he always will be, in my eyes.

But I think Lebron could go to ANY team next year and they would be +30 or +40 in the win column.

He is not Jordan. He is different though and is killing it.

It sounds like he won't leave the Heat anyway.

I like Melo in NY. It will be great to see what Phil does.

I agree, Jordan retired twice in his prime, he should have 8 rings imo. But that's his own fault.

Until now I am wondering what would have happened if MJ didn't retire between those 3 peats. Back to topic, I did have confidence on Phil until they lost the last few years, he should have done something! Maybe bolted LA when the team no longer appreciated his efforts. I hope he won't be a push over in NY.
